Hani Sama is the founder of the Lotus Parable record label and event series. He has been an active figure in the underground music scene for over twenty years. Starting in Iran and moving to Cyprus in 2005, he has consistently demonstrated his passion for a variety of genres, including psychedelic forest, deep and hypnotic techno, and ambient. He incorporates technical and theoretical elements from jazz, bossa nova, liquid drum and bass, as well as salsa and Afro-Latin rhythms, creating a forward-thinking and eclectic style like no other.

His sets are immersive and energetic, where he blends groove-filled rhythms with dense atmospheres, psychedelia, and darkness.

I started my music journey at the beginning of 2024 after ~12 years of clubgoing. I always found beauty in the darkness of clubs, hypnotic rhythms, and the free spirits of those who come there. For years I've been telling myself that I can't do DJing and music myself because of 1,2 and 3 until I finally found joy in doing it just for the sake of doing it, for the love of it.
