my car broke down at a studio which meant i got the time to sit in on a rehearsal.. i recorded my close friends and true inspirations Marc Rapson (keys), Dan Mitchell (bass) and Will Street (violin) on my phone while i made the coffee.. this was my gift to them for letting me sit in on the session. This is the result of friendship, music, coffee and a broken down car.

Thomas Edison said that when we sleep we go to the "..museum of unlimited possibilities" .. this is opening the museum doors, after this point everything is imagination.

THE MUSEUM

(from my father) - Short story: Just after the second world war Oliver purchased a secondhand accordian. Something he saw whilst in France and wanted to learn 
how to play. After many attempts of playing around with the accordian and not learning very well, he packed it away and put it where we all put things we dont use, in the loft. Occasionally he would bring the accordian down to entertain his grandsons and still unable to play properly, he at least gave his grandsons a good laugh. Many years later in 1975 Oliver passed away. His wife Annie eventually moved house and on clearing the loft came across the accordian. Not really knowing what to do with it gave it to her eldest grandson to keep. He loved the accordian, not to play but to just have as a momento of his grandfather. Yes, it was put back up in the loft and although moved from various houses was always put back up in the loft. 3 days ago the accordian was brought down again and given to Olivers Great grandson, passed on to the next generation so to speak. The Great Grandson was and is absolutley in love with the accordian. I must add, the accordian is in fine working order with no damage and is a work of art. Now after 3 days of having the accordian, Nathan ( great grandson) a wonderful musician in his own right has put together an instrumental piece of music useing the accordian. It was passed over via the internet as an MP3 in an e mail to me (the Grandson) and on receiving the email opened the MP3. Now, to think that the accordian is at least 70 years old and hasnt been played in at least 50 years, a piece of music entitled "Nonno" which means "Grandad" in French, has been used to make a piece of music so beautiful it reduced me to tears. It brought back so many memories of childhood and my grandad "Olly". Now i would love to share this piece of music with you but its a work in progress and not yet copywritten but im sure at some point soon it will be put on Facebook for all to hear.........Thank you Oliver and thank you my son Nathan for completing a dream so to speak.
