envelope modulation [ahn-vuh-lohp moj-uh-ley-shuhn] n. On a subtractive synthesizer, "envelope modulation" is the amount that a modulation envelope effects a certain parameter (filter cutoff, oscillator pitch etc.) Most synthesizers include an ADSR envelope, meaning: Attack Decay Sustain Release.


First of all, welcome. 

Env-mod is a community of like-mind electronic music producers, commercial and independent, who believe in having a hub for netlabels, self-released artists, and people just getting into the business to display their work and receive recognition on the internet.

Forums have always been a wonderful resource for artists to research and learn every aspect of the industry. Within this forum's sections (we are still sorting out all the forum topics) we hope to be a resource for both the beginner and the advanced engineer. Topics such as sound design, mixing & mastering, composition, gear-related talk and an area for artists to display their works-in-progress are all essential to the growth of a well-rounded producer.

We hope to be fully integrated with main music streaming sites such as Beatport, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Mixcloud etc. as well as social networking sites like Facebook, Google+, and Twitter.

Feel free to drop some suggestions in the suggestions forum if there is something you'd like to see on the site. We're always looking for new vbulletin mods so if we're missing something feel free to let us know. This project is in the beginning stages but we want to make sure we offer artists all the tools they need to network their music.

As more features get unlocked here I'll update this post. Until then, if this a project you'd like to be involved in, all you need to do is create a profile for either your artist name or netlabel and begin adding content! If you just came here to listen and hang out, of course you're welcome too. Every profile comes with a blog and profile that can be customized to your liking, and right now any release you post will get featured on the front page, so make it look awesome! Go ahead and post any questions you have in this post as well. We are looking forward to making this place one of your top visited websites for both commercial and creative commons electronic music.
