In early 2013, a group of bands and musicians at Brooklyn's King Killer Studios decided to get together and record a "covers compilation," wherein each band would cover an individual song from a classic record. Once all of the bands had committed, the album was revealed and the songs assigned based on the strengths and sound of each individual band. After three months of perfecting their renditions and then recording, this is the final outcome, and the first in what will hopefully be a string of these compilations. 

King Killer Studios is a thriving musician community and rehearsal space that has operated in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn since 2008. Since its inception, King Killer has promoted the spirit of collaboration and cooperation that is compulsory for the prosperity of any artistic community.
