Notre Dame debuts on Bedouin’s Human By Default label with three expansive house cuts. 

French musician, DJ and producer Notre Dame first emerged over a decade ago, sporting a uniquely cinematic and emotionally charged sound to his house productions that draw on a love of jazz and classical. His impressive back catalogue includes releases on labels such as Innervisions, Still Vor Talent and Diynamic before now taking him to Bedouin's Human By Default with his 'Amuse' EP. 

Opener 'Amuse' is an electric house cut led by elegant synths dancing in symphonic fashion over warm, deep beats that will surely cast a lasting spell on the dance floor. 'Dunes' then rides a broken beat loop, and edgy synth stabs heighten the suspense as sombre chords strike down with a heavy sense of emotion. Lastly, 'Mundo' showcases Notre Dame's arranging skills as he expertly layers up glassy sounds, loose percussion and wailing vocals. 

Notre Dame will be playing alongside Bedouin at their Space Residency on 15th December 2023.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns for its twelfth instalment featuring Anjunadeep alumn GRAZZE and three debutants in The Dualz, minds&machines, and Frost.

French duo The Dualz kick proceedings off with ‘Your Eyes’, a progressive piece characterised by dark fluttering arpeggios. Having played at Watergate for Anjunadeep's and Ben Bohmer’s Ton Topferei label party earlier this year, the Montpellier-based pair are no strangers to the label family. Recently featured on Anjunadeep 10 with his track ‘Querencia’, Dublin-based producer and Ibiza Global Radio host GRAZZE returns with ‘Irish Hill’, a driving departure from his previous label release. 

Next up is German duo minds&machines. With releases on Diynamic and Astralwerks  and support from names such as Solomun and Lane 8, minds&machines blend of UKG and ambient electronica is inimitable, exemplified in their debut label release ’September’. 

Finally we welcome Sydney-born Frost for his label debut in the syncopated ‘Undercurrents’. Frost’s first Anjunadeep offering shows a penchant for deep, percussive production, illustrating why he’s released on deadmau5’s mau5trap and garnered support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.

Midi Minds Kenya in conjunction with The Safari Collection, Backdrop Agency & Madorasindahouse travelled to Samburu National Conservancy to capture and highlight the musical identity of the Samburu warriors, women and children, in the form of a song based sample pack, a documentary format video, and a Various Artists music compilation (VA). 
This project is set out to raise awareness, financial ability and cultural highlight towards the Samburu tribe and community, through using selected Recordings for the production of this 19-track compilation. It features productions by Laolu, Armonica, Da Capo, Caiiro, Shimza, Sifa, Umami, KEENE, Klement Bonelli, XtetiQsoul and many more, as well as local Kenyan talent, such as Suraj, Saint Evo, Foozak & Dylan-S. 
After visiting the Westgate area of Samburu, and discussions with the community leaders, we found the most common day to day issue they face is lack of educational infrastructure. We firmly believe that this is a cause worth advocating for.
The community is not able to establish a sustainable educational system and that is why part of the proceedings will go towards building a class-room in the primary school and provide sustainable contributions to the teachers fund. The whole process will be part of a documentary that will be released along with the Compilation, in an event held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 30th of November 2019.

Luttrell’s latest offering, instrumental deep cut ’Some Other Time’, is the second single lifted from his forthcoming second album ‘Lucky Ones’. A certified crowd pleaser and firm feature of Luttrell’s DJ sets over the past 6 months, ‘Some Other Time’ has roused crowds from San Francisco to Fiji to London.

After a whirlwind 2019, which saw Eric Luttrell release his acclaimed debut solo album ‘Into Clouds’ on Anjunadeep, the San Francisco native makes a welcome return to the UK imprint with his second LP ‘Lucky Ones’. Kicking off this spring, Eric embarks on his most extensive headline tour to date, with 23 North American shows revealed so far, including a performance at the iconic Coachella festival, and more to be announced.

Whereas ‘Into Clouds’ was reflective of a transitional period in Eric’s life, Lucky Ones’ is a celebration of life. Anchored in themes of gratitude, the LP is a collection of 11 meticulously crafted cuts which see him draw from a deep pool of personal influences, including the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and The Prodigy, as well as his love for San Francisco, Burning Man, and time spent as a student in Berlin.

With his nothing short of outstanding Force EP on Compost Records, prodigious Laolu pushes his boundaries even further and provides us with a refreshing and yet poignant travel through his vision of afro inspired house music. In addition to this musical marvel comes a long-awaited vinyl exclusive Laolu Remix of Sophie Hungers There Is Still Pain Left, one that will be remembered. It received heavy support already by the likes of Solomun, Marcus Worgull, Trikk and Eagles & Butterflies!

Released on Innervisions at the end of 2015, Laolu's remix of Dele Sosimi's 'Too Much Information' has been a number one hit and Dixon and Ame's favourite track of the year. Laolu was born out of the love of a Nigerian father and a Swiss mother who, most appropriately, met in a record store in Berlin. He spent his first years in Nigeria where his parents owned "The Gallery", a club dedicated to Jazz and Soul. And so his musical education began. After relocating to France, he attended a music school in order to learn saxophone and music theory, but upon discovering Detroit techno pioneers Derrick May and Carl Craig at the age of 18, he sold his saxophone to buy his first drum machine.

He then moved to Geneva where he started DJing and met Kadebostan, who quickly became a musical co-conspirator in the studio and as a DJ partner. In 2010, Laolu released his first EP "O Fantasma" on the young Berlin based label Clap Your Hands. A deep tune for special club moments. During the following years, his collaborations and solo work have led him to produce music for labels including Innervisions, Defected, Compost Records, Get Physical, Weapons, Freude Am Tanzen, Clap Your Hands, Mental Groove, Jalapeno Records and Soundway Records. He kicked off 2014 writing and producing Sene Kela for Mr Raoul Ks new album, which gathered love and support from Dixon, Mano Le Tough and more.

As a DJ, he has built a solid reputation in his hometown of Geneva, but also played across Europe in Berlin, Paris , Krakow and Tbilisi. Ruff techno, heart warming house, his style both sophisticated and raw at once allows him to swing moods and match the feverish atmosphere of any club.
