Re-post of an old track I made in 2008, released nearly 2 years later by my good friend Nima Gorji who gave it a home on Welt. It was 'too deep' for most labels, apparently.

For some reason this track was listed as a remix by Nima on Beatport for a long time so most people never even knew it was my track. Here it is, still one of my favourites!

It is hard to imagine the London underground before Enzo Siragusa minted the FUSE brand. This is a bold claim, but it is a totally fair comment given the mark that both Enzo and his brainchild have had on today’s current tech house sound. What is even more impressive is that it didn't seem so long ago we were discussing FUSE turning 10, now another landmark is on the horizon and even after 15 years there is no slowing down. It is impossible to discuss Enzo without heaping praise on FUSE, but there is much more to this unassuming raver than just his clubbing brand. A joyride through rave-ready tech house, speed garage, jungle and more.

To the casual onlooker, Enzo Siragusa may seem easy to pigeonhole as just a UK DJ playing chunky house music. Wrong. The Maidenhead native has serious pedigree, earned from 30-plus years fully immersed in the rave, first as a dancer at jungle and hardcore parties, then as a hobby DJ and finally as the cofounder of one of London's most influential club nights: Fuse.

What began life in 2008 as a ramshackle afterparty on Brick Lane is now a global brand with multiple festivals and roving events, and Siragusa its figurehead. For years, Fuse's MO was doggedly down to earth, built on a love for intimate shows where the residents took top billing.

Its impact on modern dance culture is clear to see in the runaway success of the so-called UK tech house movement (think Michael Bibi, PAWSA and Chris Stussy). And yet Fuse always cut deeper, darker and dubbier.

"I felt you could bring the emotion of jungle and hardcore into minimal house, which is what became the Fuse sound," Siragusa told fabric last year. A child of Metalheadz as much as Perlon, his tastes—and vast vinyl collection—run wide, and today the breadth of these influences inform his creativity behind the decks more than ever.

As RA.1008 illustrates acrpss nearly two hours, dazzling tech house, minimal, speed garage, jungle and more all fit under Siragusa's roof. The blending is sublime, each new transition a window into a fleeting sonic world. There's no tracklist, with a clutch of totally unreleased tunes aired for the first time. Happy IDing.

Fresh off the back of an incredible summer that saw Enzo Siragusa’s FUSE camp successfully collaborate with HYTE at Amnesia Ibiza, the label boss is now ready to release his ‘Hard Steppers’ EP. Title track ‘Flexin’ has been carefully road tested by Enzo throughout summer and has been the clear winner on dance floors all round.

Enzo's introduction to rave culture started as he attended his first Jungle raves in 1993, this is where his love affair with dubbier sounds began. He found himself inspired by the free form structure of Drum & Bass which he later took into his own productions and developed it into his unique dub house sound.

It started in 2012 with ‘As We Are’, when Enzo began his journey fusing a unique sound of cutting edge Techno and Drum & Bass. This soon progressed through the ‘Kilimanjaro’ series of releases with Alexkid and more recently his solo track ‘Desire’ where he really found the sound he was looking for. Forward to Autumn 2016, where the upcoming ‘Hard Steppers’ EP will become the pinnacle of this four year exploration.

‘Flexin’ is the darker of the two tracks and sees Enzo take his influences from the early Drum & Bass raves he attended heavily inspired by early Ray Keith & Andy C productions.

‘Jump Up’, exclusive to the vinyl lovers, has slightly more attitude, lending itself to the jump-up jungle sound of 1995, with a chilling female vocal added that make the hairs on your neck stand to attention.

My Essential Mix meanders through the deeper and dubbier shades of House and Techno. I've decided to focus on music from the FUSE crew, as these guys have really innovated and pushed our sound forward. I've also included music from our friends and the wider community of artists who contribute to my FUSE London and InFuse labels.

London and its rave culture have been at the heart of my sound for many years now. So expect to hear some heavy beats, grooves and some big basslines as Jungle, Garage and classic House come together to form what is now the sound of FUSE.
