For the next EONS podcast mix series, we welcome HAFS -- a schranz and industrial techno DJ and producer from Brussels, Belgium.

HAFS (Hate At First Sight) is a project by Maël Capilla Sanchez. He grew up playing acoustic jazz and classical music and transitioned into techno DJing starting in 2017.

HAFS has his own special spin on techno: densely layered drums, intense hard kicks, dark melody, and plenty of groove for dancing. His sets are punishing-- full of energy and intensity. 

He has toured extensively and performed at raves across the world. A few notable examples include Dour Festival (Belgium), Monasterio (Moscow), Hard Kapital (Colombia), Rumba (Belgium), and LBAT (France). He has also released exclusive mixes with techno labels and promoters including: Sub-Terra Trax, Dusk Records, Obscuur, Mass, The Underground, MOTZ, BPM Europe, and many more.

HAFS started releasing original music in late 2023, and already has several releases under his belt: Bunker Whistle (Insane Industry), Going Wild (Das Kollektive), Moments of Doubt, and Rave CrossFit.

Together with his father Candido Capilla, Maël also runs a mariachi band bringing together various talented Latin musicians from Belgium and neighboring countries.

For this special episode of the EONS Label mix series podcast, we welcome Seattle-based artist IN_DUAL. This set was recorded live in Seattle on 3/15/2025 at the most recent Substrate Techno show with CLAWZ. This high-energy set captures the raw, powerful energy of an IN_DUAL set and features several unreleased cuts.

More about IN_DUAL:
With a prevailing tendency to walk the lines of light and dark, exposing boundaries at the intersections of duality; IN_DUAL weaves despairing basslines with notes of hope, and heavenly progressions with beastlike beats. He believes that love prevails in a world that does not deny, or indulge, but transforms the landscapes where opposites meet.

Since the beginning, IN_DUAL has sought to show that there is beauty inherent in the darkness; by embracing our pain, we can live in peace and harmony with ourselves. In dark rooms permeated with fast rhythms he gives permission to those ready to feel into their own dark nature. Decorating a moment in time where everyone can know they are not alone. His music guides the room into a collective state of being; one that seeks to unite and enlighten. Each set is a new experience that he looks to share with the world; an ever expansive story where the crowd becomes the hero.

There can be no light without the dark, nor dark without light; with embodiment of both sides we can bridge the divide in the INDIVIDUAL and attain a life IN DUAL.

Mad <-dd> [mæd] - also meaning insane or crazy, defines MadEd’s true essence.
With his rapid transitions, selection of massive tracks, and his energetic and charismatic presence, he drives the crowd to madness. His goal during performances is an intense sensory overload, inducing a trance-like state of mind.

MadEd took his first steps as a DJ in Berlin, performing in renowned clubs such as M-Bia and Void. Since 2021, he has been making waves in North Rhine-Westphalia, steadily building a name for himself. He frequently appears in Cologne, Krefeld, and Mönchengladbach, and is no stranger to the Ruhr area, having played in cities like Münster, Bochum, Essen, and Dortmund.

In 2024, MadEd made his international debut at Fraîche Valls and released his first single,
"Euphoric Feelings," in December through the Netherlands-based label T-Records.
