This is a song I wrote almost exactly 3 years ago. My songwriting teachers liked the AABA progression; even though I didn't know what that meant when writing. I guess the first line stuck with me and seems to mean something even today: One day I'll find that where I'm going is where I want to be. Maybe it's something we can all relate to. Maybe that's what life is: an endless search for satisfaction. 
Anyway, I'm releasing a new Eos EP soon so watch out.

It’s Monday night I feel discouraged 
I don’t know why I’m made to wait 
For the sunlight or encouragement
In exit I lost my name

In the dark I dreamt of poppies
Think you and me were headed the same way
You said you spent way too much time alone now
The night has almost reached the day

And I wonder has it really always been this way?
Have I always been unable to accelerate?
Does my inertia mean that I’m resigned to fate?
I hope not

It’s Monday night I feel the weight of the world
Pressing down over me 
You don’t cry when you’re alone 
I guess it’s just better company 

And I wonder will it really always be this way?
Must I always be the last to reciprocate?
Does my inertia mean that I’m a waste of space?
