I got massive street of rage vibes (which was heavily inspired by 90s dance music). And I love it.

Latest song, somewhat long in the making due to insane hours at work. The Pandemic certainly is over because everyone is having events and stuff which means I'm staying at hotels for weeks on end, barely home to change clothes!  

Had a crazy idea of showing the project playing in realtime from Digital Performer on this one, but alas.. my 2013 mac doesn't really like capturing smooth video no matter what I adjust, enable/disable or reduce payload when playing so the video turned out jerky as hell and unusable. But I just don't have the energy nor the time to shoot multiple camera angles of playing parts so it's just a bunch of stock content footage.

Started using Nexus3 pads and bass, but then the rest of my MKS, TX and various KORGs joined in. :)

The 90s called and wanted its groove back. I told it to stop, collaborate and listen! I've had this Alex Ball song on the agenda for quite some time too, and finally got around to finish it up. As always, he made some really catchy hooks that instantly got my 66% shuffle groove going. And I of course went a little more happy-pappy dance floor early 90s style, sprinkled with some glossy 80s FM ear candy and more. 

This is for those who wonder, taken from Alex' video on the Yamaha TX81Z sound module and how he made a "90s Banger" on it. I've also used some TX sounds and enhanced the palette with all sorts of 80s and 90s relevant gear. Hope you like it! ;)

Electronic musician from Norway. I started playing piano/keyboards in the mid 80s. After a few years at the municipal music school, I quickly grew tired of the simple piano-only education and got to move on to classes with keyboards and synths. From the early beginning with Technics K-200 rhythm keyboard from 1983 via some Casios/Hohner keyboards, I evolved with the later Technics KN-1000 and KN-2000 before moving on to Roland XP-50. As the computer revolution made DAWs affordable, 1999 made sequencing using Cubase easy and the studio grew ever larger with more outboard gear. Today the studio has become a sizeable and functional MIDI/arranging studio with over 40 synths/modules and more centered around a MacPro with MOTU’s Digital Performer, and numerous more or less famous productions.

I have always had a musical approach towards sound engineering and composing, rooted mainly in vivid harmonic structures and saturated compositions. Inspiration has always been the likes of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Eric Serra to name a few giants in the electronic scene, but also a heart towards well produced pop music from the 70s and 80s as well as epic film scores from John Williams, Alan Silvestri and Hans Zimmer. The baby era of computer music from the late 80s and early 90s was also a heavy influence.
