a sign of life ignited
your hand like a bird

a crackle in the blue
the fresh green air
of youthful exhalation
new leaves reach into the sky
they know how to read
the signs of life ignited
bury your face like the leaves
run your hand
like a bird
along the seams

the sky is breaking
into a run
you are a storm
that runs with it

the skin of celestial bodies
drop scales like skipping stones
on the path
by the changing path
of the riverbank

check the dappled ground
for cloth of moonskin
wrap yourself therein
become a wondrous sign
a magnet for migration
and an omen in the dimming

your ghost is the diurnal watcher
you leave your footprints
on the black glass bridge of the night
and when the million orbs revolve
your going is with them

I dreamed about this song. All I knew was the title and that it was being released on a compilation of experimental music. The dream seemed auspicious. I needed to bring this dream song into waking.
