A close-mic breakup ballad about emotional labor—hearing the fridge in the silence, watching “three gray dots” start and disappear, and finally choosing yourself. Felt piano and room tone open the track with a spoken-sung baritenor that carries breath and subtle fry. Verse 2 introduces a sparse kick; choruses bloom with wide pads, tremolo electric guitar swells, and a deep sub that arrives like a wave. The bridge turns into a “release”: cello/strings texture rises, distorted guitar lifts, then everything drops to a single steady breath before the final chorus lands. Background vocals stay minimal—airy octave doubles only on the key phrases “loving for two” and “save me.”
