This is a hybrid bassdrum I made from two 808 and 909 samples 

My goal was to create a kick that combines the best of both worlds – the rich sub bass ooomph of the 808, and the powerful transient of the 909, which cuts through the mix much better than a soft 808.

I first used this kick on my 2020 Bedrock release "Burn Your Love" – check it out!

REFRAKT is a producer and DJ based in New York City. His last EP release, False Memories (Phisica) charted in Beatport's top 10 Indie Dance and featured remixes by #1 Indie Dance artist BadWolf and Berlin-based producer Alejandro Molinari. He has performed all over the world, including Untold and Neversea festivals, where he opened for the likes of Sébastien Léger, Damian Lazarus, Armen Miran, and Hraach on the Daydreaming Stage, as well as Colours of Love in Thailand (with Valentín Huedo), numerous clubs in Berlin, including Georgia Bar, and Neue Odessa, and New York City, where he has played the main stage at House of Yes and has begun a residency. An accomplished live musician (piano, drums, guitar), Daly likes to explore diverse sonic textures from around the world in his productions and is always exploring new place to take his music. Interwoven stories of being shipwrecked on an emotional landscape.. Includes many of my favorite flavors of Indie Dance but predominantly tracks with Indie band influences and what I would like to call Space Disco ❤❤❤ 

I struggled a bit putting this set together so was a bit reluctant to share, especially after my mysterious tech drama on the night.. Yet I got some great feedback nevertheless (which is so often the case despite all the trials along the way!) After listening back there are some sections that I actually really love ❤  

Shipwrecked Festival is an incredible multi sensory experience, curated to an extraordinarily high level in all areas.. If you ever get the opportunity to go, I highly recommend it!!  Thanks again Lucky Star for including me on your lineup, it is always an honor ✨🙏💕
