Friend Of The Devil With Cécilia.2018

This is a Blaze Foley tune I recorded a couple of weeks ago. 

Foley was born Michael David Fuller in Malvern, Arkansas, but grew up in Texas. He performed in a gospel band called The Fuller Family with his mother and sisters. After leaving home, he performed in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, and finally Austin, Texas. He was close friends with Townes Van Zandt. (from Wikipedia)

I used a Dan Brooks custom B & B squarenck maple resphonic guitar, Martin D-18 Authentic, The Loar 600VS mandolin & Fender  Squier Classic vibe bass.

my brother needed a Johnny B. Goode instrumental backing track on short notice & this is what I came up with.....not exactly like Chuck Berry's original version, but the chord progression is right at least.

I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC where I was exposed to a wide variety of musical genres from an early age. I started out on drums & later picked up guitar, mandolin, lap steel/dobro & a few other instruments.. I made the move from Nashville,TN to France in 2002 & I enjoy playing music as much as possible..
