Although the seven-inch is the smallest of the vinyl formats, it can pack a real punch. This is certainly the case with Bordello A Parigi’s latest discovery, Real Velour. This mysterious outfit draws on a spread of influences for Champions. Warm strings of throbbing bass and crisp drums dawn into shining synthlines as elements of indie and synth-pop melt. Chords are addictive, memorable hooks of pure joy countered by bittersweet lyrics that tell a sorrow-streaked story of calamitous change and dead-end dreams. The flip sheathes the cold wave edge of the original, letting the superb synthwork sing. Bright and uplifting, embers of electro disco smoulder with italo in this intricate instrumental version. A stunning 7” that marries melancholy with melodies of better tomorrows.

YAMAJOY is a house band launched during an olympic summer in Paris in 2024 by Ran Din and Pape Luch, members of the MÉGAPARTÉ collective. 

The ambition of this friendly musical project is to offer music that is sunny, exciting and danceable. It's an ode to the round bass of the French Touch, the violins of disco, the power of rock-pop drums and the soaring piano of 90s house. And it's all at a very high frequency.

For this first release on the Epicure Records label, YAMAJOY uses piano, violins and organs as ingredients for a dreamy, sunny piano house recipe. The choirs and bewitching melodies give this track a melancholy, happy atmosphere that's perfect for clubbing, but also for travelling at any time of day.

PREMIERE - Samy B - Move Your Body (Dance Petrol Records)

Samy B steps up for his debut solo release on Dance Petrol Records with Unstoppable Rhythms EP, delivering four expertly crafted club weapons that push groove, energy, and movement to the forefront. Drawing from his deep-rooted love for House, Garage, Breakbeat, and everything in between, Samy B blends organic rhythms with electrifying sound design, creating tracks that are as immersive as they are dynamic.

The EP kicks off with Move Your Body, a relentless ride driven by a pulsing bassline and a talking acid talk box that weaves its way through the track’s intricately layered synth leads. Scratch samples punctuate the rhythm, bringing an old-school edge to the futuristic groove.

Next up, Don’t Stop cranks up the heat with a catchy acid-infused bassline and full-on piano madness. The energy is undeniable, with sneaky FM synth touches slipping through the cracks, keeping the tension high and the dancefloor in motion.

36.3.20 es un viaje personal que en este 2025 llega a su fin. Un proceso de evolución y madurez reflejado en cada uno de los 4 temas. Este EP nace entre dos lugares fundamentales para mí: Chapela y Barcelona. El primero, mi origen, donde crecí; el segundo, la ciudad que más me ha transformado. Ambos lugares han dejado su huella en este trabajo, no solo en el proceso creativo —ya que los cuatro temas han sido compuestos, mezclados y masterizados entre ambos lugares— sino también en el artwork, donde cada elemento visual es un código que los representa. A nivel sonoro, 36.3.20 se nutre de influencias del House, UK Garage y Deep House, con referencias a artistas como Ed is Dead, Bonobo, Disclosure, Overmono y Sammy Virji, entre otros.
