BIOGRAPHY

Volar is an Amsterdam based musical collaboration between Hans Léautaud and Patrick Linthorst. Despite Patrick and Hans' widely different musical backgrounds, they managed to combine forces because of their indomitable love for underground music and by complementing each other’s talents. 

They distill inspiration by submerging themselves in the Amsterdam club scene, in a never-ending pursuit of new sounds and artists. Drawing their inspiration from this passion and their diversity results into a rhythmic yet melodic, industrial sound. 

Their tracks are released on Borders of Light and Melodic Diggers' label Equanimity. Early supporters are Toto Chiavetta, Trikk, and Adana Twins. Volar's perpetual drive propels them on a journey to move and touch dancers around the world.

BIO:
Marcelo Malta, aka “MLTX” began his career in music at a very young age, guided by his father, a multi-instrumentalist, who put him in contact with harmonies and rhythms. Drummer and Musician, he was part of Hardcore, Punk Rock, and Heavy Metal authorial bands, expanding his feeling and relationship with different rhythms, sounds & melodies. In 2015 he started attending big festivals and parties, developing a fondness for Techno and listening to renowned names, which influenced his musical taste, until during the pandemic, a friend @brml1 encouraged him to start DJing, since then he has been playing at parties, podcasts and listening incessantly. With an ongoing label project, MLTX DJ sets emerge in a #fusiontechno strand, a mix of Techno & Indie Dance / Dark Disco tracks, performing strong and dark rhythms driving the melody through the beats like an electronic drummer.

Tellevika met in London 2006. Jens Nylund and Staffan Larsson soon found out they loved the London club scene, but also the soundscape of the 80’s. When not buying 12”s, organizing and DJ’ing at club nights was a huge part of our lives.

When we make music as Tellevika, think of Fleetwood Mac, meets Kölsch, meets Maceo Plex, with a twist of Swedish legends like Eldkvarn and Suzzies Orkester.
