Everytime my cousing Anton sends me a new song demo, I get excited before even listening.

Still, when I heared the early demo version of 'Take Me Home' roughly 3 years ago, things hit differently. Easily the best vocal I've heard in years - so catchy, yet deep, I just kept coming back to it. I wanted to remix one of his songs for a long time, although trying to combine our two musical worlds wasn't really an easy path to head on. But with this one, I knew it was THE ONE. Had a clear vision where I wanted to take it so it didn't took me long to cook up something.

Now, getting hold of Anton isn't straight forward either. Took a few months of getting stems sent over, along the way he decided to re-record... Getting the formalities for a release sorted out was a bit of a stretch again. To be honest, I'm also partly guilty of delaying it since after I thought it was done last year in summer, I spent another six months tweaking details. Hopefully worth it, but we finally made it and here it comes!

Over the two and a half years where it was shaping up, it also gathered more and more meaning for me. Although the obvious theme behind the lyrics seems to be relationships and breakups, I think there's a bigger picture to it. The chorus phrase 'please take me home' became something that I felt, describes my past few years of feeling somewhat lost quite well. My remix definitely started as a darker take, but still ended up with the big melodic euphoria, spreading a feeling of hope. Had my ups and downs with full on uplifting trance, but really happy with the sound of this one: high energy, 145BPM, still groovy, melodic overdose, big time lightspeed space travel - love that vibe, more to come.

Absolutely excited to finally release my favorite track that I've ever produced!

So a while ago now I did a remix of Crazy Towns Butterfly , I called it the Butterfly Effect (you can hear that somewhere on this page?) But I never played it out as there was some major issues in production back then . I can't say I have come much further but still I thought it would be great to try again. 

This time I searched high and low for a way of remixing it more originally then I found this great band from Mexico called Deville. They had done a great cover of the track and believe me there are SO MANY BAD ONES ! These guys really nailed it . They have been kind enough to work with me and allow me to do my thing and here is the result . 

A mish mash of their original stems and some straight up tek business quite cheesy (well it is one of my tracks) but full of energy.
