Memphis, TN is home to a gospel music ensemble who, to say the least, is energetic, extremely talented, has an eclectic stylish fashion sense and are bold in their musical message about Christ.  Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis are That Group! And they (VTK) has taken the Memphis Gospel Music scene by storm, and is sweeping across the nation.

The group’s energetic performances, great gospel songwriting, and contemporary flavor have garnered them noted visibility and many fans anticipating the national release of their project, LIVE in Memphis.  Their radio single "Thank You Lord" has become a signature song and a favorite of audiences who can't get enough of the exuberant arrangement and interactive delivery.

Vincent Tharpe is the group’s front man and director.  He is one of gospel music’s most distinguished rising songwriters and choir directors.  His passionate praise and worship is an integral part of the music ministry of Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis according to Philippians 2:5-8 where scripture shows Christ emptying out himself to become totally receptive to God and His most perfect will.
VTK has an impressive resume for a new young ensemble.  They were recent winners of Dorinda Clark Cole's 2011 National Singers and Musician Conference Artist Showcase in Detroit. Winners of The 2010 Rhythm of Gospel Awards New Artist of the Year and have collected three nominations for the 2012 ROG Awards - CD Of The Year, Artist Of The Year and Best Recording Artist with featured Soloist "He Will" f/ Benita Washington.  They also appeared on BET’s legendary “Bobby Jones Gospel” TV program, as a new artist.

On June 22, 2011 Charles Butler & Trinity’s uplifting song “You Can Live” was selected as one of 10 songs to debut on “Jawn Murray Presents: UNTAPPED,” a music compilation CD that is distributed through EMI records and was released in September 2011. Moreover, Charles Butler & Trinity’s anticipated debut project “Better” will be released nationwide February 26, 2013.
