"This track started as an 8 bar loop, I started cooking on a Saturday morning about 4am.

Once I found the drums I thought best fitting , the automation started taking the track somewhere. And that's the sweet spot as a producer. 

It gives me early 2000 House vibes. I felt that, that energy has been missing from the club scene, so this was my attempt at bringing people's attention back to tunes you just want to dance your heart out to.

The tracks still yet to be released. I'm in the process of post production at the moment."

"This is a song that is already released & out in the world, its apart of an unreleased album called "The Lilith Collection".  

I have to be honest & speak from the heart and say, I have a lot of mixed feelings about this project. It represents pretty painful parts of my life and I hate where I was at, which in turn impacts my view on what it is that I've created. I've tried coming to peace with it throughout slowly releasing it, but am yet to let go of the full project. 

Besides all that, with what's currently released - I hope people can just have a good time with it, get a little high to it & think about life to it.
Also if you want to, play it loudly, that's how I made it & intended for it to be listened to. "

"a bit of backstory - my names LANA and I'm based in London/Milton Keynes. The inspiration for this track was old school/classic hiphop with a simple track consisting of a sampled gospel melody which was chopped up, a thick sub baseline with some heavy punchy drums. 

I wanted to stop overcomplicating my beats I make and just make something simple and catchy that an artist could lay their top line to, to bring the track all together. This beat is one that I am most proud of right now."

"This is a cover I vocally processed to get some grasp on the EDM/House type of vocal capturing my knowledge on bounce playback to cut off any tailed reverb. I also endorsed my "Little alter-boy" format shifting plug-in for the background vocals sitting at a "one note" function to give a vocoder type of feel to the lead vocal. However, I am still unpleased with myself for not actually presenting my own production"

"What Inspired me to make this song was the sense of exploration/the feeling of flying through space. I hadn't made a track in logic pro in awhile, so in between working on a clients mix, I whipped this up on their laptop. I was also under pressure to deliver the clients mix so I could pay for my hostel in Tangier. So some of that anxiety leaks through.

It’s not mixed or mastered, but I loved recording this, it was one of those days where everything was going right in the studio. "Blue Lights is a pretty well known Jorja Smith song, I just love the chords so I just looped them and rapped on it. It’s crazy cause it just makes me think how easy it is to record these days, it’s a blessing to be inspired and to be able to instantly create something. No more booking studios! I wanted this to be like street poetry, emotional street music. It’s sketchy but I’m happy for people to hear it, I might add some more production to it later."

"This is all about representing diaspora, in this case Punjabi Kenyan culture. It’s produced by Young Devante a Ukrainian producer I work with, he produced ‘Got It On Me’ by Pop Smoke. I recorded it while I was on a promo tour for a song I did with Rotimi, Neyo, Rishi Rich and H-Money called ‘Sweet Gurl’ and dropped it right after. Channelling that Mobb Deep spirit."
