Surrounded by a deep spectrum of musical genres in his upbringing, Flord King has had a musical training from the start. Both as a listener and as a player, handling the guitar in different jazz ensembles. He was obsessed with the rhythm and story that music has the ability to tell. He slowly ventured into the world of electronic music and at the age of 20 began his career as a DJ.

Since then, Flord has gone from strength to strength, with the help of partner in crime Adam Stromstedt and Mohammed Al Harbiti they have launched the successful Lyssna Records label. With their platform they have pushed not only their own unique deep productions, but also other talented artists such as Peshka & Levi Verspeek.

With the start of the second chapter of our track releases, we are also proud to announce the latest edition of our Equal Podcasts with Rob Collman (@robc) of Stopouts / Alien Recordings (@alienrecordings).

This music has not been designed to function on any dancefloor...however, there´s also no other particular destination. Feel free to just listen & chill or groove along - it´s up to you. A well reserved and under-profiled person, whos inspiration to put this up goes way back to our 18 hour warehouse party collaboration between us and Lisbons cult shop Carpet and Snares Records past February, when 'partying' was still 'normal' and safe

"I have been a collector since 1986 and with almost 20,000 records it is always a challenge to find the right records for a good mix.
I love the sound of the years 1990 to 1992 a lot, maybe because then I started to produce my first songs and I was very obsessed with that particular and so hot sound, especially the songs that are made with those Japanese machines from Roland, Yamaha and Korg .
With this podcast I wanted to take you on a journey through that time, which influenced me a lot as a DJ and producer and which is still a source of ideas for my work.
I have also wanted to continue what was my time at oven club almost 2 years ago, it was a very special experience and with this mix I want to let her live again. "
