Equal Eye  is an up and coming rap artist from San Francisco, California. He has been writing and developing his talent for 5 years and has grown exponentially as an artist throughout this time. The name Equal Eye was inspired by a college professor who in a lecture said "The person who can see all things of this world as equal has the ability to change it." This describes the motivation of his words and his music. Through most of his time as a rapper he has only been a recording artist, but now he is exploring the potential of spreading his message through live performance. Equal Eye has performed all around San Francisco at places such as Club 6' Rockit Room, San Francisco State University Peña Pachamama, etc... He has also performed up and down the California coast in San Diego, Santa Cruz, at the legendary 'Catalyst', and in Laytonville for the Earth Dance Festival. He has done shows with Hip Hop artists and groups such as Awol, Emoney, Eliquate, Richie Rich, Rec League and The Coup. His performing experience has elevated tremendously since the beginning of his music career at San Francisco State where he began strictly as a Hip Hop artist. His transition from rapping over traditional Hip Hop rhythms into the World Music scene has proven to break new ground and has made his music better, more interesting and more exciting. The growth of his music demonstrates how he has focused on making music that goes above people's expectations and what they are accustomed to. After performing on stage with world class musicians from all corners of the world such as Georges Lammam, Eddy Navia and Fito Reinoso, Equal Eye has become inspired to broaden his horizons and discover new ways to rap over any kind of music. His goal is to connect modern poetry, which he considers rap, with the music, the issues and the soul of Hip Hop with all cultures of the world in hopes of changing people's perspective on rapping.
