Elemental Crisis By Matt McCorkle

Moody is a spatial sound story exploring bipolar disorder through the senses and emotions of an individual. We experience a childhood pattern of misdiagnosis; unproductive treatments, punishing, or pushed heavy medication and sedation. Forcible placed into a locked psychiatric hospital, our individual reached a tipping point of psychosis. During this intense mental state our individual was imprisoned and began a journey through America's criminal justice system. 

At age 30 a second psychotic episode took place after their father's death. This time the individual was presented a choice: get help or risk death. As emotions come alive as characters within Moody, our individual is able to begin crafting a story of acceptance. Moody takes a multi-perspective look at mental disabilities by exploring neurological, psychiatric and behavioral health records with emotionally charged sound art and soundscapes. A creation that forms an experience of one person’s conscious mind living with bipolar disorder.

Anderson Cooper didn't waste any time digging into the topics of the Trump Tapes and sexual consent during the second presidential debate. Donald Trump avoided the question by repeatedly shouting ISIS while Hillary Clinton delivered one of the best responses of the evening. I remixed the candidates' responses with audio from the Trump Tapes and his infamous "no perverts" video.
