Rogue D & Memoryman AKA Uovo team up for their latest release with the Electric Safari EP. The four-tracker marks their collaborative debut on Crosstown Rebels, fresh from Total Black on Rebellion in 2019, and includes two remixes by longstanding German talent, Roman Flügel.

Both artists spoke of how the release came together, stating: “The effects part of DJ Harvey’s Berghain and the synths of Padlock inspired us. A mix of these two masterpieces came to us while we were performing and recording, helping us create a mix of afro, electric funk and dub. The result is a trip to Africa with DJ Harvey!”

That tribal sound is felt right from the get go, as rustling hats marry up next to whirring synth pulses throughout. Ethereal keys chime beside resonant kicks whilst bell-like tones march on in the background. Roman Flügel’s remix takes on a more minimal-inspired feel, where a punchy underlying bassline perfectly compliments the celestial chord solos, before proceedings get stripped back further on the B Side with a dub version of each track. Italian-native Rogue D is a well-loved figure in the contemporary house sphere. Renowned as one of half of Flashmob, his back-catalogue boasts EPs on an array of the scene’s leading labels, including Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Defected to name a few. Fellow Italian-mainstay Memoryman AKA Uovo has garnered a global following in a career that spans decades. One third of the legendary Pastaboys collective, his productions have found a home on Snatch! Records and Rebellion in recent times. Roman Flügel has been a champion of Germany’s electronic music scene since the nineties. A prolific producer, the likes of Gerd Janson’s Running Back and Sven Väth’s Cocoon Recordings have welcomed his releases with open arms over the years.

Intervalo returns to Metrica for his second release on our label. The producer from Malaga has created "Tork" adapting to the musical avant-garde, where the most synthetic and convoluted elements make it appetizing for the most contemporary dance floors. This great proposal is completed by the Italian producer Auggië and the young Tunisian talent S.A.S. In the track that gives name to the release Tork combines the bass line of a progressive techno with strident synthesizers well manipulated and an intense pad that gives the necessary anticipation. The rework of our dear and recognized artist Auggië is the clear example of a good work. He has transformed this aggressiveness in a calmer line but equally intense. An atmosphere full of sounds that inject you with tension and mixed feelings. Byond is the second original track of the Ep where Intervalo expresses his total vanguardism. The constant cowbell seems to give us another kind of story as it advances onwards elements bloom that will surprise you. Melodies abducted from another planet will leave you speechless. The release is closed by a remix of S.A.S. who has managed to masterfully convert a track, already achieved in a perfect complement, to another type of sensations. Including more alternative elements, he has managed to focus this remix towards another dimension. We take you to the planet Tork in the farthest galaxy.

Ukraine’s AIKON meets Sobek in this masterful collaboration. A thumping breakbeat rhythm forms the backbone of this haunting track, where clanking chimes meander amidst shrill, bitcrushed, pitch-bending synth lines. A mystical breakdown lays down mellifluous flute motifs, brooding, buzzing bass and a mosquito of a synth hook that are all smashed into the ether when the pummeling rhythm kicks back into life. Play this loud, close your eyes, and you’ll be transported into another dimension.
Adrian Roman gets brutal on his heavy remix, drafting in huge tribal drum hits that are reminiscent of the Japanese taiko, contrasting their off-kilter rhythm with a solid deep techno backbone and really amping up the atmospheric melodic elements to potent effect. ID_UA takes things deeper on their remix, into more hypnotic territory where bleepy riffs and throbbing bass pummel you into submission, while Buba rounds off the reworks with a slick breaks version with a sci-fi edge that pushes the original into the depths of outer space.

Imeïa again enters the Isolate cosmos by delivering an outstanding six track EP called „Mundo Profundo".

The pleasant journey of „Mundo Profundo" already began a year ago when Imeia was sending tracks to label founders Alican & Murat Uncuoglu which they have been testing on the road giving feedback and advice until the final EP was set in stone.

Imeia already had an appearance on Isolate with his track „Danton's Legacy" paving the way for his first proper release.

His production style can be described as simple but effective. He is working with samples like a magician generating new sounds and tonalities out of the original and sometimes using it multiple times per track.

Mundo Profundo

microCastle's second offering of 2023 welcomes Ivory back to the label for his third producer showcase. Based in Milan, Italian artist Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. Comparable to the path of his contemporaries, Daniel has found a way to create a personal universe by exploring electronic sounds, and ultimately finding his own place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. Fully formed within the creative confines of his Milan studio, Ivory's third microCastle project 'Persona', follows on from 2021's 'Light Through Water', a seven-track affair which continued Daniel's mission to create bold synthesizer symphonies from the tools of the club. As an evolution in his sound, the release was significantly more stripped-down and dancefloor-friendly than his label debut 'No Scale Can Resize You' yet continued to demonstrate and build on the Italian's penchant for sophisticated sound design and memorable musical themes. Moving forward, 2022 proved to be a monumental year for Ivory, with the release of his debut album 'Feelin' sitting as the highlight, a release which was preceded by the immaculate EP project 'Rain'. The year also saw the Milan resident gain further recognition as a DJ, as he continued to exhibit fresh programming along with thrilling pace and flow, in turn becoming an in-demand presence at major clubs and events throughout the world. Now, following a string of impressive remixes to begin 2023, Ivory makes a welcome return to microCastle with 'Persona'.
