Influenced by producers with unorthodox approaches such as Burial and J Dilla, blossoming Norwegian DJ/ producer Meera may be young in her career, but she is already capturing the attention of some of the scene’s biggest names. When We Dip Records presents the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the underground's finest selectors. 

ELIF takes us on an hour and a half ride this week. She plays tracks from her very own Marginalia, unreleased tunes from across the spectrum and caps things off with her bouncy remix of Motip White's 'The Infinite Edge'.

The first EP on the label newly founded by Patrik Schifferle aka. Shiffer comes from him and the German songwriter Paul Brenning. The work on these collaborations spanned over two years and perfectly demonstrates what the new label stands for, namely togetherness and creativity. Starting with the drum loops and chords by Shiffer, and continuing with the beautiful lyrics by Paul, the tracks were written by the two of them together over a period of months. The result is the "Stranded EP", a melancholic and warm mini-LP with cinematic vocals and deep grooves. The record is rounded off with a timeless remix from Mano Le Tough.

Dutch producer and DJ, https://soundcloud.com/elmundomusicpage has been at the forefront of electronic music for over two decades. Since moving to Berlin he’s cultivated a sound that encompasses deep, rhythmic textures and suave melodic soundscapes. 
El Mundo entered the electronic music scene as a DJ in Nijmegen in 2002, and soon started producing music with Satori, gaining international acclaim as the duo El Mundo & Satori. By 2012, he pursued a solo career in Berlin, where he developed his distinct sound, met and began collaborating with instrumentalist/ vocalist Zazou, while founding his label, Quetame.
