Regado is a track that sonically represents one of the places I grew up in Porto. It’s part of one and too many projects in the city. A raw, decaying but real place that eats you up if you are not able to get out and explore your own path outside this world. It’s still somehow a community where you can find and learn the most beautiful values you can add on to society as a human being. 
I tried to create what would be like to have a sonic representation of that world. It’s violently happy and still manages to make sense with the album ethos. The symbiosis between light and darkness and the ability to walk on either side.

premiere | Speaking In Tongues - Ultralights | Eternal Order

Milenar - millennium: a splash into the new age of modern technology, musically speaking. Keith Holland makes his mark with this four-track EP, where he toys with an array of synthesized sounds and digital snags - an EP engineered for the electronic age.

Closing track ‘Dinastia’ showcases everything learnt beforehand for the final stand, whilst taking us back to the EPs roots with a sprinkle of flitting eloquence. Kicking up a storm with its misty, jagged bassline, high harmonic chords ride upon the technological waves, searching for their soul - sailing to a voyage of the curious mind, right until the end. Its title track embodies all things mechanical: sonic soundwaves drive along the senses, with an accession of data glitches rising into the cloud, as the monologued structure helps pin at least some stability to normality.

Tal Fussman strides forward with ‘Back up’, the sophomore release on his own Survival Tactics imprint, revealing yet another glimpse at his anticipated debut album. Much like with predecessor ‘Talk To Me’, the Israel-born, Berlin-based producer showcases a masterful hand at crafting powerful club tracks that are both physically moving and rich in heady atmospheres.
Thus, Fussman’s mission of creating crowd-entrancing moments of togetherness is firmly in focus here: Arranged around a deceptively simple interplay of perfectly balanced elements, ‘Back Up’ relentlessly propels itself forward by way of its warm wooden punch, staccato chants and elastic neon synths. The devil is in the details, however, and Fussman weaves in plenty of subtle nuances by way of his intricate sound design, letting this floor-shaker unfold towards its climax like a flower in bloom.

Second pre-VA compilation serving is from Milan DJ and producer Auggië. It paints an emotional portrait which lulls an ethereal stance and plays heavy on the heart. ‘Love Wait’ sings a soothing, synthesised symphony and marks the beginnings of a celestial universe; yet gilded with delicate riffs and the contrasting piano chords help bring all frequencies and feelings down to earth to forge a more personal connection with the soul. Capturing an intimate, complex and contradictory portrait of love, sung through the soft layers of affectionate elements.
