Equinox - Table Round

Equinox was created in the autumn of 2007 when a drummer Željko Stanisavljević responded to an add by a guitarist Sava Jović, concerning the foundation of a serious band. The music was intended to be in the realm of progressive rock/metal genre. After some changes in line-up (guitarist, bassist and four keyboard players replaced in one year) guitarist Aleksandar Djordjić and bassist Danko Radulović joined Equinox. The band decided to give up on an unsuccessful search for a keyboard player and keep the four-member-line-up. In this stable setting, the band started to work on new songs and for the first time they considered going into a studio. In the spring of 2009, Equinox recorded a demo EP called "Leaving behind" containing four songs. The EP got some really great and positive reactions from media and people who had a chance to hear it. As a part of the promotion of “Leaving Behind”, Equinox performed for the first time on November 21st, 2009, in Belgrade. Besides their own songs from the EP, they also played covers of “Pain of Salvation” and “Dream Theater”. 

In the next year and a half the band played over 15 concerts across the country. Along with live performances, with occasional breaks, the band was constantly working on new songs and finally completed material for their first album. 
In the begining of June 2011 in "Stretch" studio, with a guitarist and a producer Sale Djordjić (aka Alek Darson "Organized Chaos") the band starts recording the album. 

After the recording was done, the producer leaves for studies in the USA, so the final mixing of the songs is in the works and to be finished in Boston, MA. The album is to be released within the next few months. Unfortunately, all the future promotional activities for the album will only be done through internet resources, while live performances will not be possible due to two members of the band leaving Serbia (bassist Danko and drummer Zeljko). The last performance in the original line-up takes place on September 8th, 2012 in Belgrade and with this gig, the first, successful chapter in the history of the band comes to an end. Although there will be no live performances, Equinox as a band will not cease to exist. For starters, the band will promote their album to their audience through various internet pages and later on, all band related news will keep getting announced as well.
