“Tell me how we would go on living”': you can consider these words as an essence for our new compilation Hyperboloid 2022. We have taken them from the lyrics of a new song by Gleb Raumskaya. Here you will find all the musical answers to the question of the musician from Omsk. Echoes of jungle, trance, breakbeat, ambient, hip-hop, bass and hyper-pop mix here into a whirlwind of feelings and styles. The collection starts with a farewell: our old friend Cadeu says goodbye to the departing year with ciao. 
You can find a lot of familiar names here: Pixelord, Famitsu, Summer of Haze, Koloah and Max Dahlhaus released their records on Hyperboloid this year. Long-time residents of the label SP4K, BOGUE, Sangam, Zakladki, Fisky and Nphonix are also represented with their special tracks. Sport DJ and ellija, new producers on our label, introduce themselves as the fresh blood of Russian electronic music. And our fellow labels Aelita, Fuselab and INTERNETGHETTO send their regards through New Sylveon, WOLS, Broosnica, Dead Xice, PORTWAVE, Circuit Aesthetics and 3XPERIENCE.

THE BEAST EP by @ewpvthmusicofficialis a captivating musical journey into the world of atmospheric experimental electronics, where the sounds of dubstep and future garage intersect. The album immerses the listener in an alien theme, filled with mechanical and industrial vibrations, creating a unique sound palette. Deep bass and rich textures outline dark but mesmerizing landscapes, evoking images of distant worlds and mysterious creatures. New species of dance music grooves is born in the forest of concrete and data. Following the single “Sheng” on Do Hits Vol.1, putting together various sound elements, fusing traditional and dance music in the oriental context, Jason Hou returns with his album Sheng, as a milestone for his musical adventure from 2013 to 2015.

“Qi” is the repeated breath of the universe; “Shrine” records the oldest temple of Beijing; “Mantra” chants the mysterious sacred words. Reconstructing “Peking” of Beijing Melodic Metal band Shuang Dong Qian Ye, “Peking 2045” depicts a cyber-punk futuristic city of Beijing. A longer version of “Sheng” captures a thunder-rumbling, stormy evening in the forest. “Martial” represents Chinese philosophy in the future electrified war. “Havoc” takes in Chinese opera, putting on a show of the Monkey King rioting in the Heaven. “Stardust” tells the story of the last human beings entering the unknown space after the apocalypse.

“Aerial / Paperbags” is the second EP from Scintii, aka Taiwanese producer/vocalist Stella Chung. The music is inspired by travels, dreams, stories and films of unsaid emotions. The production merges her influences of club music, memories of her father playing classical music while driving, as well as focusing on exploring her vocal abilities. The release also marks her first time working closely with another producer, Alexis Chan aka Soda Plains.

Scintii

Taiwanese producer/vocalist Scintii (aka Stella Chung), bears a diverse background in both studio composition and pop music which she studied whilst residing in London for several years.

Since her move to Shanghai in 2017, Scintii has become a core member of the thriving club scene in the city. She has played for i-D, Diskotopia on RBMA Radio Tokyo, NTS & Radar Radio. She recently played a number of London shows, including events at Southbank Centre, and headlining at Corsica Studios.

Mica, her first release, is inspired by the form and body of minerals, pensively underpinning dark, elusive, cut-up pop vocals with crystalline synths and rhythms from UK grime to the dembow for an enrapturing and refreshing sound. Her second EP Aerial / Paperbags is due late November this year, along with a few vocal collaborations with high profile artists.
