Ruthie shared this with me and I'm so glad she did.  I listened as I was watching the waves on our lake.  Not as mighty as yours of course but it worked for me.  Quite wonderful!

I was so inspired by Howard Scarr's latest patches for the virtual modular synth Bazille, that I decided to write some music with it. It's not surprising really, as this happens regularly when I start to explore Howard's stellar work! All the parts are Bazille, except for a couple of Logic drum loops.

I guess you could say this was the first solo song I ever wrote and recorded. I was probably 16 or 17?
 I was part of a "garage band " and we were doing demo's at Carole King and Gerry Goffin's studio.  It was called Larrabee and it was in West Hollywood. My dear friend and one of my piano mentors, Jim Hobson, played pedal steel, Paul Sabu on mandolin, Herb Melton played bass. Been so long I can't remember the drummer. I played an upright "tack hammer" piano that belonged to Carole. Matt Hyde engineered and encouraged. 
Little backstory… Carole came in late one night and heard it, …and liked it! That was a big deal to me.

A first short piece featuring my new baby, the Matrixbrute! What a fine, fine instrument this is. I just love that everything about it screams PLAY ME! This demo features no added FX except for compression/limiting on the master out. The synth's FX section is simply retro-gorgeous.
