Born and raised in the early nineties in southwest Berlin, these two did not yet know that their paths would once cross one another. 25 years and plenty of DJ-Gigs later, they stood next to one another at a home party in Zehlendorf. 
And that´s how it started. 

Disco balls, lots of light, driving disco music, champagne and at least these two guys are needed for a special disco night.
With a genre that is finally getting more attention in the scene, the two dance their way through the clubs and festivals of the republic.
In the beginning of this year, they started their own Party Series: "Disco Futurismo" at Crack Bellmer Club Berlin.

We´re very happy to welcome these two lovely guys in our collection and we´re hope, that we can dance together this summer!

The Mbuki Mvuki Movement is here to encourage and support Flinta artists. To help close the gap step by step. And this month we have the honor to enjoy the unique sound of Gela. This powerhouse of a woman just became a mother a month ago! In the last months of her pregnancy playing in clubs with loud basses was obviously not an option anymore, so she started exploring other creative processes on music making and mixing at home. This Mbuki Mvuki episode was made with a 9 month big belly! <3

Gela is currently based in the beautiful mountains of San Sebastian in Spain after living pretty much all over the country. Her DJ career started around 21 years ago, when friends opened a bar and asked Gela to provide the music vibe. She never stopped doing it since. Connecting with the crowd and meeting other artists is just too good and nurtures her a lot. Also another important part of being a DJ is enjoying spending a lot of your time digging and discovering music and Gela - well, she digs it ;)

Gela is putting a lot of effort when it comes to improving equality in the music industry. Inclusion of the underrepresented must be on the agenda for a better and more sustainable future. She is part of Keychange this year. Supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, Keychange is a global network and movement working towards a total restructure of the music industry in reaching full gender equality. Keychange consists of partners collaborating from 12 different countries, working proactively to make this change. And she has been granted the opportunity to represent her country this year. The movement has put together a pledge for equality in the music industry. Tannaz Bassier is a DJ from Stockholm, whose musical journey began as a dedicated dancer in the electronic music scene. Music and dancing have always been her ultimate medicine, and over the years, she has spent countless hours seeking inspiration at various raves, clubs, and festivals. Her mission behind the decks is to give back the trance-like state and healing that she has experienced herself.

Her wide-ranging style has brought her to venues such as Slakthuset, Debaser and festivals such as What a View, Borderland, and Woodland. Her sets may include anything from oriental melodies to deep hypnotic techno, playful house, and more. Always staying true to her core– spreading energy to the dance floor.
