ZP - Gitana (Prod.Green Pepper Boy)

This one has been in the works for a while but didn't actually make it out in 2021 but hey, what does the month or even the year matter anymore? This is a series for what was and well, 2021 -2022 has been pretty wild for the world (aren't they all lately?), oscillating between hope and heartbreak. This mix somehow tries to capture that. 

I would like to say a big thank you to all the people that shared music they found beautiful, quite a few tracks made it into this mix, as always in new contexts, different speeds, pitches and carefully folded with another track. Thank you for listening

In case you wondered, the art is a beautiful woodcut by Ukrainian-American artist Jacques Hnizdovsky (https://hnizdovsky.gallery). Hnizdovsky fled Ukraine in 1929 as a fourteen-year-old and spent most of his life in the US, becoming known for his woodcuts which often depicted flora and fauna, inspired by hours spent watching the animals at the Bronx zoo and Botanical Garden.

His psychoactive music, opens a gate to the subconscious world of our mind.

 "El Tecolote Canta EP" is full of Dubby sounds, House elements with a fine mixture of global sounds, and futuristic rhythms. 

Mister Owl is one hell of a producer and "El Tecolote Canta" is an EP that will heal your soul.

This is Erasmo de la Parra's official SoundCloud. It features ex publications of De La Parra's record label #AntartekRecords, as well as new productions and soundtracks.

Erasmo de la Parra is a Chilean-Dutch director, writer, and producer. Born March 11, 1987, in Amsterdam. 

De la Parra's background is in music production; he has produced over a dozen albums for artists from across Latin America. His work has received critical acclaim from publications such as Rolling Stone, Vibe and Pitchfork.

De La Parra has been working on several Films, TV series and Records that are still under wraps. He directed the short film U-47700. The film has been screened at numerous international film festivals and won various awards.

Antartek Records was launched in 2010 with the purpose of bridging Latin American producers with Europe. Scouting, Co-producing and launching the first EP's by artists such as @el-buho, @matanza and @makinamakinamakina. Pioneers of the indigenous electronica world sound, which has turned into a movement. Erasmo also organized the first European tour of Matanza.

As the career of Erasmo de la Parra switched directions (into cinema), the label was abandoned.
