I came across this mix and it brought back memories. I did many "re-edits" and yes with overdubs for Art of Mix in the late 80's through 90's. My studio was actually the sound studio at Stanford University. Chopping and refining sections on Pro Tools back then. Art of Mix is no affiliation of AON. From the sleeve notes on Erasure Ultra Rare Trax Vol.2: "Denied a Number 1 placing Xmas '89' by Cliff Richards (sic) 'Mistletoe and Wine'. Say no more!!! Excerpt mixed by those Art of Noise People."

It is basically an old-school "Cut & Paste" remix of the extended mix, with a few overdubs. I don't know when this was originally released (probably shortly after the original song in 1989?), but it came to my attention sometime in the mid-nineties.

I have no idea if the Art Of Noise had anything to do with this unofficial remix (I kind of doubt it), but that was the claim!
