It is interesting that when I started my candidacy for the 2016 Presidential Election it really as a joke to just try to bring to light that this election, an all election for that matter are just a “smoke and mirrors” magic act. Today’s politicians make David Copperfield look like an amateur. A few good sound bites, a good photographer and Photoshop artist and you are halfway there. 

So surprisingly after I posted a couple off the cuff pictures people started to take me seriously. People I have known most of my life saying, “You really should do it Tom. I would vote for you” or “I would put a sign in my yard” and “Get me a bumper sticker, you have my vote”. So, it was at this point I realized that it isn’t really about me running for President; it was about me giving them something to believe in.  

We Americans are so disillusioned that we would rather put our faith in someone that we know and trust then the career politicians that have lead us to the cliff and are asking us to jump and trust them.

The ERB for President campaign has now become real…I know I can’t win, and frankly I don’t want to win! I just want to continue to give my friends, co-workers family and anyone else that want to jump on board something to believe it.

I am not perfect, I have flaws, ghost in the closet, struggle to keep my bills paid, haven’t voted much, eat, weigh and spend to much, but I am so very proud to be an American.

I want my next President to exude his pride of being an American. I never want to see again what I have seen over the past 20 years, Presidents that don’t exude their pride of their heritage in their face, thoughts or actions.

We have so many issues that have to be dealt with and finalized. We have been talking about abortion, civil rights, gun control, health care, immigration, tax reform and welfare and poverty for more then a century! 

All we have to do to start solving these issue once and for all, is do what is right, and the issues that don’t have a right answer we can make a responsible ruling that is as close to right as possible. All of these issues have not been solved because of the career, corrupt leaders we have elected and trusted. We need to stop this cycle NOW!!

All of these core issues have created all the other issues. Balancing the budget and the economy, unethical corporations, crime, drugs, education, energy and oil, environment, families and children, foreign policy, free trade, government reform, homeland security, infrastructure and technology, jobs, principles and values, social security, and war and peace. 

I will be spending time on these issues individually during my campaign and I hope you will offer your thoughts and opinions.

For now I will continue to move forward. I could use some help from speechwriters, photographers, filmmakers, social media marketers, website creator and blog content producers. Also, looking someone to help with setting up a Kickstarter Campaign to raise money for marketing and promotion for this 2016 run for President.
