Marita Isobel Solberg interprets my piece of music for the opening of Endosymbiotic Translations Proposing New Dialogues 2019

Since October 2018, Elind Rui Blix has experimented with translations of biological research findings into artistic practice, inspired by the rhetoric of Donna Haraway's Cyborg Manifesto.

Now is the time to present the first fruits of her MA project at the Art Academy in Tromsø and you are invited.

With the help of Associate Professor Anton Liaimer at UIT's Department of Arctic and Marine Biology
Elind and cyanobacteria have produced a number of compositions and translated them into various artistic media.
With this she hopes to stretch the categories for who is the creator, translator, designer and audience in this exhibition.

The exhibition will show paintings, music and performance. Everything is produced and systematised by Elind in collaboration with the Cyanobacteria Nostoc. The piece of music is performed in its entirety on a closed opening, Thursday March 28 for invited by Marita Isobel Solberg.
