Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, @ramirodrisdale began his musical career at the age of 8, playing instruments such as the guitar and piano, among others. Some time later, Ramiro began to enjoy electronic music artists. Names like Hernán Cattaneo, Lee Burridge and Nick Warren were his main influences in this area. Which led to Ramiro starting his career in the world of music production in 2019. Their productions have warm nuances, solid rhythms, organic and synthesized melodies, which transmit a traveling and uplifting atmosphere. His music has been released on labels such as Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, Sudbeat, and The Soundgarden, among others. In a short time, his songs had the support of renowned artists, such as Lee Burridge, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Tony McGuinness, Jimi Jules and more.

This past weekend was full of spectacular atmosphere, courtesy of an uncommonly powerful aurora borealis display, so it’s only fitting that this week’s episode of Moonlight Mixtapes contains some celestial atmosphere of its own—straight from the studio of Ilias Katelanos. 

An organic house mastermind, he’s built a resume from unforgettable tracks on standout labels such as Where the Shadow Ends, Telematique, Melody of the Soul, Flug Lab, and Songuara. This week, he’s centered both moonlight and melody as he takes us through an hour-long celebration of high vibration.

Katelanos begins the mix on an elevated note, layering shades of funk and soulful vocal samples atop a solidly organic beat that goes the distance. Chris Domingo, a.k.a Domingo +, and Perry Domingo, known as Loveclub, are two brothers who embarked on their musical journey in the heart of Orlando, Florida, in 1983. Little did they know that this initial spark would evolve into a blazing inferno of creativity, propelling them to the summits of the electronic music scene. Chris discovered the magic of two turntables, setting him on a trajectory toward becoming a recording engineer by the age of 13 in 1989, while Perry left the scene years ago to raise a family. As drum machines became the heartbeat of the studio, fate intervened in the form of a fortuitous encounter with Victor Simonelli. This pivotal moment led Chris to New York City, where he was mentored by legends like Frankie Bones, Tony Humphries, and Bobby Condors, imprinting upon him an insatiable love for the 4/4 rhythm that would never wane.

With no specific genre to confine them, their music traverses everything from Deep House to Techno with equal finesse. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of influences, including Audiotones, Kruder and Dorfmeister, and even the eclectic sounds of Pet Shop Boys, Domingo + Loveclub craft a sound that is both timeless and transcendent. With several top releases on esteemed labels such as The Purr, Amulanga, Melody Of the Soul, Tale & Tone, Songuara, and Stellar Fountain, Domingo + Loveclub have firmly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Their upcoming EP on Melody Of The Soul is in the pipeline, and they have a plethora of good music set for release this year.
