Məni Axtar Darıxanda - Aydın Sani & Süleyman Niftəliyev

Eren OZEK was born in Ankara, where he also finished his primary, secondary and high school education, in 1973. In 1985 when he was 12, he started taking private oud lessons from Sedat Oytun who was an important oud instrumentalist at Turkish Radio Television (TRT) Radio of Ankara. He also studied music with his father Turhan OZEK who was a vocal musician and sound master at TRT. They continued music studies together until Turhan Ozek’s decease. In 1990, he enrolled Hacettepe University Geological Engineering Department. He joined Radio of Ankara Youth Chore as vocalist in 1991 and continued his studies with significant musicians such as Tarik Kip,Yuksel Kip and Ozgen Gurbuz etc. By that time he started his active music life and he took part in many bands playing the guitar and the oud. He also took part in Ankara University Turkish Music Ensemble as oud instructor and performer. He proceeded with his musical career in Ankara until 1997 when he moved to Istanbul to continue his musical education in Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music Conservatory. He practiced the oud with Mehmet Emin Bitmez during his conservatory years. After his graduation from conservatory in 2002, he got his MA degree in Turkish Music Conservatory in Social Sciences Institution of Halic University where he studied with oud master Mutlu Torun. He attended various musical activities in his conservatory years, he performed in Berikap Chamber Orchestra in which polyphonic Turkish music was performed with strings.In 2006 he took part in a cover of The Abduction from the Seraglio with traditional Turkish instruments which was put on the stage by Schauspielhaus Theatre in Vienna as an oud performer. The play was put on stage more than 50 times in various places such as Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. He also composed the music of the tv series Erkekler Aglamaz which was directed by Sadullah Celen and produced by Tomris Giritlioglu. He gave oud lessons in Bogazici University. He performed in a concert, Zeki Muren Sarkilari which was a special project. 20 most loved songs of famous singer Zeki Muren arranged by Serdar Yalcin for an orchestra of 9, which consists of both strings and traditional Turkish instruments, and sang by tenor Huseyin Likos.He composed music for the documentary in memory of 75th year of Turkish Language Institution . He composed various jingles for radio commercials. He has been giving oud, guitar, solfeggio and music theory lessons. He continues teaching music in Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory.
