When you are in love with someone, you are in a state of adoration, a state of joyful admiration. It is a pleasure to be with them, to see them, to hold them... just as they are.

When you truly love yourself, when you love yourself so much that you adore who you are just as much as you would adore anyone else, it is a pleasure to be with yourself, to see yourself, to hold yourself… just as you are.

Being in love with yourself is not narcissistic — because narcissism is not about love; it’s about overly inflated self judgment. Being in love with yourself does not deny your flaws, it accepts them. Being in love with yourself does not demand that you be any different than you are — while still acknowledging potential for growth and improvement.

There is nothing wrong with loving yourself. There is nothing wrong with being in love with yourself. 

Do you know what it feels like to be left unloved? Do you know what it feels like when someone whom you love desires not to be with you, not to see you, not to hold you? If so, why do that to yourself? 

You deserve to be loved the same way that a child deserves to be loved, unconditionally. So, give yourself that unconditional love. Be in love with the beautifully flawed person you are — and share your heart’s adoration with the world.

Spiritual Reflection 2

Have you ever felt the ringing of truth, how it resounds like a bell within you? 

When you know truth, you know because you feel truth, not because you think truth. 

What you may or may not want to believe does not matter to truth, because what is true is always true — regardless of anyone’s beliefs.

Light is true, because light is real. Darkness is false, because darkness is merely the inability to perceive what is true. Even though a blindfold can block light from reaching your eyes, it does not and cannot prevent the light from actually and truly existing.

Spiritual frequency determines the amount of truthful information that a flow of information is able to convey. Like with radio communications, the higher the frequency of a signal, the more data it can transmit over its duration. 

Lower spiritual frequencies provide you with less truthful information — and less truthful information makes it more likely that you will use your imagination to fill in the missing pieces.

So, open yourself to feel fully. Let truth come to you and receive it with open arms. Have the courage to face the truth — and you will ultimately be met with love.

Spiritual Reflection 3

When we judge something as good or bad, better or worse, we do so in order to identify ourselves. By having preferences, we distinguish ourselves from others, each one having their own preferences.

What happens, then, when we judge ourselves? If we judge ourselves as good or bad, better or worse than anyone else, we are only identifying ourselves, not improving ourselves nor loving ourselves.

To love ourselves is to fulfill a knowing and desire to increase our ability to function. Loving ourselves involves making choices that facilitate our increased well-being, the same way that loving a child involves making choices that facilitate their well-being.

When we judge ourselves as bad or somehow worse than others, we imply the need to be better. We imply that being ourselves is not good enough, that we do not have permission to be as we are.

Self improvement does not require self judgement, only a desire to grow in a given direction. You thrive when you are thoroughly loved, not when you are thoroughly judged.

So, give yourself permission to be you, just as you are. Give yourself the space you need to grow — and nourish yourself with the abundance of love in your heart.

Spiritual Reflection 4

Life has always been, and will always be, your closest partner. She is with you, right now, loving you and holding you, through the good times and the bad. So, how are you treating her?

Are you loving the beautiful being that is your precious Life? Are you showering her with praise, appreciation, and adoration? Or, are you critical, disapproving, and disavowing?

What kind of relationship are you maintaining with life? Is it playful and delightful, difficult and challenging, or perhaps staid and boring?

Your relationship with life is what you make of it, because life is here loving you – either way. It is your responsibility, how you choose to embrace or refuse your closest partner. It is you who are accountable for your most intimate relationship, because life has already made the decision to love you – and to keep loving you – unconditionally.

So, revel in your relationship with life! Have it be the most romantic love affair you can imagine! Show your love for life by showering her with praise, appreciation, and adoration. Bring forth the sparkle in her eyes and the joy in her heart, without condition – nor hesitation.

Serenade her with the song of your heart and kiss her sweetly, as you continuously announce to the world – your undying devotion.

Spiritual Reflection 5

Love has no limits. It is only we who place limits upon it.

We limit the love we feel whenever we contract our nervous system, in response to the fear or pain we feel. We limit how loving our actions are whenever we choose to act upon our thoughts instead of acting upon the love we feel.

By placing limits on love, we reveal to both ourselves and others that we are afraid of love, that we do not trust it. After all, why limit something that we each desire more deeply than anything else in our lives?

We fear love because of how powerful it is, how it is able to overtake our thoughts to the point that we are “out of our minds”. Yet, what if that is exactly where we need to go, out of our minds and into our hearts?

When you stop placing limits on love, you release the flood of love that is always available within your heart. Yes, sometimes it’s scary and sometimes it hurts. Yet, like water, love nourishes life. Like water, love knows where to flow.

Allow love to flow through you by allowing love to overflow your heart. Release the love that you have held back out of fear – and witness how life flourishes in its presence.

Spiritual Reflection 6

What is the highest viewpoint you have ever looked out from? Perhaps it was on a mountaintop or in an airplane cruising between continents. Few people have ever gone higher.

For most of us to imagine looking out from a higher vantage point, we refer to photos, such as those taken from orbit around the Earth, from the Moon, Mars, or even further out. In each case, we are only able to directly experience a view from the place and elevation we are currently at — and the same is true on our spiritual paths.

For you to experience the world from a mountaintop, you must ascend the mountain. It is only by being at a higher elevation that you are able to see beyond the limitations that obscured your vision when in the valley below.

For you to experience your life from a higher vantage point, you must ascend beyond your limitations — and remain there if you wish to continue doing so.

Sometimes, in order to ascend further, we must first descend from the hilltop we are on. This allows us to continue further along our path — and eventually achieve a higher perspective, from a more elevated location.

In every case, accept where you are on your path. In every case, accept where others are on their path, for each of us can only be where we truly are.

Spiritual Reflection 7

The delightfulness of innocence resides in the experiencing of surprises. When you do not know what to expect and you do not presuppose, every experience is a magical discovery.

It is only when we accumulate expectations and become conditioned to things being as we think they were that magic dissipates into familiarity.

It is by freeing ourselves from the weight of our expectations and the burdens of our conditioning that we are able to live a magical life. So, why doesn’t everyone choose to do so?

When we seek safety, we seek it in what is familiar to us. We rely upon our expectations and conditioning to assess potential threats and offer us potential for security.

It is only when we believe ourselves to be safe that we are able to return to the magic of innocence.

While your body may be harmed as it changes throughout its lifetime, your soul is always safe. So, know that you are your eternal soul and not your ever-changing body. Know that you are an infinite being, an individuation of consciousness itself. 

Magic is your birthright. So, love your body, while freeing yourself of conditions and expectations — and welcome the magic of innocence into your life.

Spiritual Reflection 8

Truth is the state of reality. It exists beyond anyone’s ideas — or beliefs. That is why you can only align yourself towards truth, rather than contain it in your mind.

When you align yourself towards truth, it gives you a sense of direction, sort of like a compass, helping you to go forward with greater confidence. Just as the existence of North does not prevent you from going in any other direction, the existence of truth does not prevent you from acting on any of an infinite number of falsehoods.

What makes truth so different from any alternative direction is that falsehoods depend on people to believe in them in order to maintain their stability. Yet, what is true is always true, regardless of anyone’s beliefs. This allows truth to be not merely a direction to move towards — but also a foundation to grow from and build upon.

A life built on falsehoods is a life built on a landslide. Often, the mere softening of a few beliefs is all it takes to send a foundation of falsehoods crashing into reality.

Yet, truth always remains solid, reliable, and trustworthy. Truth exists to support your growth, to lovingly provide you with a healthy direction for growth — as well as a stable foundation to rely upon and thrive upon. The solidity, reliability, and trustworthiness of truth are why truth will always guide your way, with love.

Spiritual Reflection 9

When you know something, you are aware of its existence. When knowing, you are experiencing something with your awareness. You know the colors of the sky, because you are aware of your experience of seeing them.

Yet, how do you know that you are actually experiencing anything? Clearly, there is no way to know for certain that you know anything at all, that your experiential awareness is true beyond your imagining. Perhaps your experience of seeing the colors of the sky was merely an illusion!

You are then left with two choices. On the one hand, you can assume that you are unable to truly know anything, choosing to believe that you know nothing. On the other hand, you can assume that you are able to truly know, at least something.

In either case, to make an assumption is to act with faith, because having faith is simply having a belief without any evidence that the belief describes reality.

If you have faith that you know nothing, you will question everything. If you have faith that you know something, you will trust the experience of your awareness for whatever you put faith in.

So, know that your life is built upon faith, regardless of what you question, what you trust, or what you believe. When you allow yourself to know, you choose to have faith in your awareness, rather than faith in your thoughts. 

It is by allowing yourself to know life, rather than just think of life, that you live a life of faith.

Spiritual Reflection 10

Is it true that you ate breakfast this morning?

Whether it is or it isn’t true this morning, the answer may well change depending on the day when you are asked the question. This difference is the difference of context — and context makes all the difference.

Because contexts vary, some people believe that truth itself varies along with them. Yet, that is simply not true!

The inherent value of truth is that it is always true, within its context. This means that you can rely on truth, within its context. You can trust in truth, within its context. You can even build upon truth, within its context, because context makes all the difference.

So, what is the biggest context you can imagine? Is it your entire life, your entire planet, your entire Universe?

The larger the context is, the larger the truth there is residing within it. 

So, know the truth of Life. Know the truth of Love. Know the truth of divinity and the blessed gift of each moment. For in the truth residing within the greater scheme of things, you are always blessed!
