I recorded this for fun in 2020 and recently found it in my Dropbox. I had intentions of finding vocalists to complete the cover, but it never happened.

Details:

Overheads - Studio Projects B1s in spaced pair configuration.
Kick - Shure Beta 52 
Snare - Shure SM57 on top and unknown SM57 knockoff on bottom 
Rack Tom - Shure SM57
Floor Tom - Shure SM58
Room - Very spaced MXL 990 and 991 on either side of the kit facing away at 45 degrees 

Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 Interface with the POD HD connected via S/PDIF for the 9th mic input channel. 

Light sample reinforcement on the kick to keep it consistent.  Everything else is natural.

I just bought Elixirs for the first time and gave them a shot on my Carvin CT424.  I REALLY liked the single coil tap tone I got out of it and wanted to test a little bit with a cool Gojira song.

I forget exactly how I came up with this.  I think I woke up from a nap and just started singing it in my head.  I probably ripped off a movie score that was on TV while I was asleep, but whatever. 

Movie Score Ripoff

This is my take on Foo Fighter's Skin and Bones (the live version).  I got bored and tried to get it done in one day.  I'm sort of proud on this one because I can never get good sounding stuff in my room, my voice isn't great, and I played the keyboard on this (which I'm bad at).  For all that, I think it came out pretty well.  I'm no Dave Grohl, but I hope you enjoy!
