The Biggest Creature

🎵 بحر الياقوت (Baḥr al-Yāqūt) – Ruby Sea

[Intro – 0:00–0:45]
[soft ocean waves, gentle metallic chime, distant call of seagulls]  
[a deep sub pad fades in, followed by faint glassy synth arpeggios – fragile and crystalline]  

[Verse 1 – Arabic, female vocal – calm, fluid tone]
يا بَحرَ الياقوتِ، يا مِرآةَ السَّماءِ،  
فيكَ تَغفو الأحلامُ كالنُّجومِ في الماء،  
تُقبِّلُ المَوجاتُ ضوءَ الرِّيحِ،  
ويَرقصُ الأُفقُ في حضنِ النُّور.  

[Instrumental – 0:50–1:20]
[tribal percussion slowly enters: soft darbuka heartbeat, deep kick with reverb;  
airy synths float like reflections on water]

[Verse 2 – Arabic, male/female duet]
يا نَفَسَ البحرِ، يا سرَّ الأبد،  
فيكَ يَنظُرُ العِشقُ إلى وجهِ الله،  
كلُّ موجةٍ صلاةٌ من لؤلؤٍ،  
وكلُّ نسمةٍ تُرتِّلُ الحياة.

[Slow deep house groove (110 BPM) begins — fusion of tribal percussion (daf, darbuka, riqq)  
with bright shimmering synths; water drop FX synced to rhythm;  
vocal fragments “يا بحر...” echo like mantras through stereo field.]

[Bridge / Mantra – 2:45–3:25]
[whispered layered vocals repeating:]  
"ماءٌ... ضوءٌ... نَفَسٌ..."  
("Water... Light... Breath...")  
[synths become crystalline, airy, pulsing gently between the percussions]

[Breakdown – 3:30–4:00]
[ney solo floats over ambient bass pad; water sounds swirl and fade into shimmer]

[Verse 3 – Arabic, female vocal – emotional, soaring tone]
يا لحنَ اللّيلِ في قلبِ المَدى،  
يا جَمالَ الصَّفاءِ والعُمقِ،  
فيكَ تَذوبُ الأرواحُ بالعِشق،  
يا بَحرَ الياقوتِ الأبديّ.  

[Final Section / Outro – 4:05–5:00]
[Main groove returns but softer; synths sparkle like stars over the sea;  
chanting “يا بَحرَ الياقوت...” echoes slowly until only waves remain.]
