Just around the next bend is another waterfall
Floating in the wind hear the Egret call
Muskrat dive with hardly a sound
Whitetail deer flee with leaps and bounds

Drink water from the pipe where the well once was

Paddling Down The  Ole' Deer Creek

One night when I could not sleep
My mom told me to count some sheep
Which seemed to me as kind of weird
Since the closest sheep are miles from here 

She went to bed and closed her door 
And pretty soon I heard her snore 
So... I went out and got my bike
And I peddled off into the night

Past the houses and down the street
Out of town and over the creek
Between the fields of corn and beans
With silhouettes of farm machines

It had to be 'least three-o-clock
When finally I found a flock
I counted them and there were eight
All settled in behind the gate

One night when I could not sleep
My mom told me to count some sheep
Which seemed to me as kind of weird
Since the closest sheep are miles from here 

I saddled up and turned around
And peddled fast back into town
Past the silhouettes, the corn and beans
To the edge of town and up the street

When I got home I climbed in bed
Felt the pillow under my head
Did not take long til I found sleep
Guess Mom was right 'bout counting sheep

One night when I could not sleep

With these crumbs in my sheets

Mom said, “Eat at the table 
And and don't be a pig.”
Said, “I’ll do what I want too
'cause I’m getting big!”

So I filled up my plate
