This month we have a last minute two hour mix from Kim Cosmik with Cosmik Sounds and special guest Syrte.

This is to promote their upcoming series of parties in London and Birmingham with Science Cult co-owner Syrte. 

A jam packed lineup including ADJ, Aura Knox, Kim Cosmik, Paul Hierophant, Binary Function, DRPS, Broken Joe and 
Matt Jones. 

Syrte who is co-owner of the mighty Science Cult label! Syrte will be over from the US to join us on September 8th at Centrala, Birmingham for The Data Mine, Science Cult label night and also the Hybrid 
event at The Glove that Fits in London on Sunday 9th October!

@suction-records recently crossed a pretty incredible milestone. The Canadian imprint, founded by Jason Amm (@solvent) and Gregory De Roche (@lowfish), has just celebrated its 25th anniversary. For more than two and half decades the label has curated a wealth of music, unearthed unheard artists and brought smiles to the faces of the electronic faithful.

WE FORFEIT, after a serious amount of datebook duelling, managed to catch up with Jason just before the Christmas. The result? A two hour show that charts the very first synthesizer steps of Solvent and Lowfish, the growth of their unique style of electronics and the evolution of the imprint and sound. 

From High School encounters and fax machine correspondences to Detroit recognition, Solvent maps how two Canadians broke onto the scene in the early 1990s. From these humble beginning, Amm describes new directions in his sound and the elation at discovering Rx-101. As Suction has evolved, so does the conversation with synth wave, coarse acid and braindance musings all coming to the fore.

I composed an ambient track with drones, tampuras, textures soundscapes then i recorded my throat singing, vocals in indian style, bansuri, sitar, violin, didgeridoo and chinese guzheng (chinese harp). The melodies are mystics, and the atmosphere reminds the depth of sacred temple in India. the combination of all these instruments & frequencies, becomes a tool to meditation and visions throught the ethereal world

In 2007 he created his music label Atlant Digital.
