Stellar Theather is a first form of encounter between dark psytrance and the cinematographic universe. A genuine first draft of the ADN Cinematic style, this compilation seeks to highlight the variety of dark psytrance by introducing music with advanced story telling.
Taken as a story across a broad set of dark psytrance subgenres, each track is one of a kind and stands out in the compilation. From a more forest base, the compilation evolves towards the industrial to more melodic contours before ending in a more experimental world. The idea of ​​the project is to show that dark psytrance must be above all a question of atmosphere where everyone can identify with strong themes in the songs.

By drawing inspiration from film music, by combining a thriller and fantasy atmosphere, by mixing dystopian science fiction and drama, this dark psytrance cinematic is then more emotional, surprising and musical.
Let yourself be embarked in this interestellar cinema hall: sit down, close your eyes and travel safe.

The artist known as Memory Lake is a close friend of mine and a hell of a dancer. When he sent the first version of this track to me I got so excited I immediately asked if he wanted to co produce it with me. He said yes and the rest is musical history. The track is based on a poem written by Jewel Mathieson and is voiced by Naomi Runa. 
What is it about? Well you'll just have to listen to the track to find out!

Un duo basse-batterie qui syncope entre les distos noise, les synthés rétros et des paroles qui auraient été prêchées par un ordinateur péniblement remis du bug de l’an 2000 : c’est Margaret Catcher et son rock augmenté.

Les outils les plus «technoïdaux» de la musique actuelle : vocodeurs, capteurs sensoriels, pads et pédales en tout genre s’invitent à la fête !!
Dans un concert épileptique où tous les coups sont permis, la dame de fer gaulée comme un grand 8 sait mener son public dans des espaces insoupçonnés, dont elle détient le secret.

« Transhuman Fever » est le rêve halluciné d’un humain 2.0 sujet à un virus informatique, pathologie jusqu’alors réservée aux machines.
Son délire augmenté prend place dans un décor acidulé aux césures spatio-temporelles improbables.

Les révélations sur la vie, l’univers et le reste, lui sont dictées par d’absurdes icônes. Au loin, se fait entendre le grandiloquent hymne de l’expansion sifflé par Dieu le Chat, qui, si grande est sa stature, a su garder son "lol".

This is part 2 of 3 of the recording from my set at Nowadays Nonstop on April 7, 2024.

I played from 9am-3pm, between JASSS and Bearcat, and it was one of the most creatively fulfilling sets I can remember playing – one of those sets where the audience, environment, atmosphere, tech setup, phase of the moon, whatever, all somehow lined up for a full 6 hours. And happily, the recording is maybe my favorite I’ve managed to capture to date. Huge thanks to Kristin for inviting me and to everyone who was there that morning.

This is part 3 of 3 of the recording from my set at Nowadays Nonstop on April 7, 2024.
