From the album Farewell Ferengistan which was released in 2006, this track captures the essence of Toby Marks project Banco de Gaia as it walks serenely into the first decade of the 21st century.

Aether entfaltet sich wie ein unsichtbarer Strom zwischen Himmel und Erde – ein Raum aus Klang, Licht und Bewegung. Tiefe, organische Basswellen verschmelzen mit schimmernden Synthtexturen, während feine Arpeggios und schwebende Pads ein Gefühl grenzenloser Weite erzeugen.

Das Album bewegt sich zwischen Melancholie und Transzendenz: jeder Track ein Atemzug aus Energie, jeder Übergang eine Schwingung zwischen Realität und Traum. Aether ist nicht nur Musik – es ist ein Zustand, ein leises Schweben im Zwischenraum, wo Zeit und Form an Bedeutung verlieren.

Grammy Award winning act DEEP FOREST are set to release new album EVO DEVO on the 10th June via Metropolis Records. Deep Forests’ Signature-Anthem “Sweet Lullaby” instantly opened the world stage for the band. Their associated first album became a huge success and gained gold, platinum or double-platinum status in numerous countries like Australia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan or the United States. In 1995 Deep Forest won the prestigious Grammy Award for their album Boheme. They were the first French artists to win a Grammy Award and to this day, they only share this honour with Daft Punk.

Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino is an Italian band from Salento and I humbly made this edit (adding a phat kick and hi-hat)of one their song I like the most.   I saw them live two years ago at WOMAD (World Of Music And Dance) in Taranaki, New Zealand and they were just AMAZING. The power of their music is at its highest during live shows, and in fact the audience went crazy!

Eric Mouquet is also founder of Deep Forest, the pioneering ethno-ambient electronica band. He is on the cusp of a musical renaissance that promises to explore new directions, combinations and influences in ambient world music.
