With Moments Between, Amsterdam-based producer Pillek invites you into the quiet pulse that lives between days, seasons, and emotions — those fleeting fragments of time that slip past before you can name them. It’s the follow-up to his 2024 debut Birth, and a bold step forward: warmer, poppier, and more intricate, yet unmistakably Pillek.

Across ten tracks, Moments Between feels like a single, flowing breath — from the radiant simplicity of Grateful Vibes and the cinematic escapism of Holiday, to the tender pulse of Two Souls Apart and Happy Days. The record drifts effortlessly between chillout, electro-pop, and trip-hop, merging acoustic warmth with digital finesse.

Every song captures a snapshot of presence: Spring Is Here beams with sunlight after months of grey; Drift Mode lets you float without direction; Private Groove slips into jazzy nocturnal cool; and Summer’s Calling shimmers with tropical ease. Eric Mouquet is also founder of Deep Forest, the pioneering ethno-ambient electronica band. He is on the cusp of a musical renaissance that promises to explore new directions, combinations and influences in ambient world music.
