Hoova's 'Midnight' EP offers a soothing and mellow listening experience with its downtempo electronic vibes. The two tracks on the EP transport the listener to a calm and peaceful state of mind.

The title track 'Midnight' sets the tone with a laidback beat and atmospheric synths that evoke the stillness of the night. Prepare yourself to discover an entrancing blend of cultures through distinct flavors of Scandinavian and African drums, ethno-jazz vocals, chants of Miao from China and Chukchi from Yakutsk, Eastern and Latin American percussions, Indian sitar and Arabic oud, guitar, and harmonica.

Translippers is a project of Arthur Mustafin, a composer and music performer from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 1984 he gained experience in jazz and rock-n-roll bands, but this changed with his trip to India, where he seriously got into ethnical instruments. This led to Arthur incorporating these instruments into his own production, which significantly transformed his sound. 

As said by author himself, this album is an intricate attempt to return to childhood.

I like to experiment with the pace of a song. Nowadays dance music seems to be stuck in the 4-to-the-beat schematic, but there is so much more to rhythm than a straight 4/4. Even on danceable tracks you could add some polyrhythmic groove. So in the middle of this track I composed a piano melody based on a polyrhythmic pattern 6/4 and 7/4 at the same time on both hands. Some fun to play... The amazing Buchla 200e patched by Lyonel Bauchet brings some spices to the track
