One of Israel's most respected and hard working DJs and producers, Chico Shuella's dominance across his homeland has been matched on a global scale. Under his Chicola moniker, a production career that has spanned the finest international imprints, lead him to Proton Music where April 2014's debut "Maganda" EP illustrated a considerable array of talents. Returning to Proton once more, the twin-track EP now receives a pair of remixes full of Latin spirit.

Operating out of the Madrid capital, Spanish producer, Gonzalo Luque, has carved out a deep niche for himself under the Soulwerk production signature. A debut on Canadian imprint Whose Haus in 2011 paved the way for a successful assault on the Beatport charts as aural senses were caressed with a unique blend of melody and rhythm. A number one entry in the 'House' genre charts as well as a significant number two in the 'Overall' charts established a reputation that has grown significantly. The "Convergence" EP for Change Audio proved a huge success, as has work for Mirabilis, Lowbit and Cid Inc.'s Replug imprint. Indeed, the "Fraktals" EP for the latter went on to see support from some of the industry's leading tastemakers as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Muir and Eelke Kleijn all lent their weight to the project.

A remix of Dousk's smash hit, "Look Good Tonight" opened the Soulwerk account for Proton Music followed, in March 2014, by the debut "Searching For You Through The Stars" EP which saw the full extent of Soulwerk's craft and production skill. Returning to Proton to remix Chicola, Soulwerk's remix of "Ghost Train" retains many of the elements found in the original mix with a clever interpretive twist that provides a "Big Room" sound that rises and drops with flawless ease. Additional production elements create a melange of sound that glitters and ripples above a deep bass groove and strong house rhythm to create a trademark Soulwerk sound.

Ivan Jaime's Dark Soul Project is the product of a lifetime spent in the creative arts. A childhood spent drawing, painting and playing guitar and piano, saw art, design, paint and music envelope the young Argentinean. Forming the Dark Soul Project from his Buenos Aries home, "atmosphere is the stamp of the DSP sound", deep in feeling and the resonance that frequencies and waveforms have on the individual consciousness. Striving for "balance between people and music", the Dark Soul Project sound has led to over 150 production credits for such impressive imprints as Sudbeat, Baires and Stripped Recordings. Furthermore, the track "Al Sur" has recently featured on Nick Warren's groundbreaking "The Soundgarden" project, funded by fan-based pledge campaign.

Making a very welcome debut on Proton Music, the Dark Soul Project remix of the Chicola title track sees a deep, rich and groove-laden interpretation of "Maganda". Echoes of melodic themes present in the original make their presence felt as thickly textured percussive layers roll with ease across a soundscape of white noise effects and LFO filters. The DSP "Schualle Room Remix" is thus an excellent opening to an incipient Proton career.

Two new interpretations of Chicola's seminal work have given "Maganda" the chance to rise once more in the beautiful morning light.

A debut original EP to proudly represent his sound, Danny Lloyd and his "Espejismo" lit up the early summer months with a trio of works. Now returning to the EP, two new reworks pit the wits of French, Australian and Italian talents.

A recent twin-track original EP to their names for Particles in the shape of "Spirals", French national, Rick Pier O'Neil and Australian, Desaturate, have already made considerable impressions with their music; O'Neil's long-serving history within the dance music industry reaching heights most modern producers can only dream of. Having worked for Sony Music, Universal and Motown, and with such artists as Stevie Wonder and Lenny Kravitz, Rick Pier O'Neil's move into the underground dance arena carried considerable risk.

However, success through his own RPO label and beyond with support from a host of luminaries including Carl Cox and Steve Lawler, has seen the Mexico based artist triumphant. Australian, Desaturate, whose Progress Inn alter-ego has provided considerable success over a seven-year period and whose production credits can be found on regarded imprints: Dopamine, Vapour and Suffused Music, has seen Janko Dragovic provide a slice of progressive house style that has translated well to the Particles catalogues. Now working alongside the Frenchman, the Rick Pier O'Neil and Desaturate remix of Lloyd's title track has seen the pair take "Espejismo" on an uptempo path with its driving rhythmic bed providing ample energy. A hypnotic flow sees the track pass in the blink of an eye and effortless percussive groove and melodic interplay has dynamism and vibrancy apparent in equal measure. Clever use of Lloyd's original components, including the airy vocal phrases, adds further to a superbly executed remix.


An Italian producer well known for his production work with fellow countryman, Laben, from as early as 2001, Andrea Cassino soon found his work signed to the likes of Armada, Babylon and Tilth Music, supported by luminaries: Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz. 2009 saw a break away from Cassino's production partnership with Laben as solo work began to take on renewed importance and his work began to shift organically to a newer tech house oriented sound.

A regular on Sonic Union's Lowbit imprint, Andrea Cassino's work has been further allied to Balkan Connection and Soundteller while a burgeoning production relationship with Danny Lloyd himself has seen the pair release a clutch of original works for KumQuat, Lowbit and Kunai. A trio of remixes for Alessandro Diga, Lateral Cut Groove and Simos Tagias comprises Cassino's work for Particles thus far as he returns now to rework, "Viajando en REM". Retaining and reinventing the groove so apparent in Lloyd's original, Andrea Cassino supplies a wealth of additional production material in rhythm and percussive sections to set up an intelligent use of original components as samples from the original delicately wash over the mid and upper frequency ranges.

Two new remixes from a trio of impressive modern producers is no mirage as Danny Lloyd should be under no illusion that "Espijismo" will succeed once again.

Part of the exceptional seasonal warmer that was "Winter Particles 2015", the prolific pairing of LoQuai and Ewan Rill delivered a delicious slice of progressive house with the aptly named "Beat Meditation". Now returning to Particles with its own remix EP, Russian and Polish talents return to the original with two new interpretations.

Newcomer to underground dance music fraternity, Russian artist, Artem Kalalb, has been an instant success with his "passion for the dark side and the beauty of melodies". Bursting onto the scene with the pulsating "Wandering Ghost" on the "Spring Particles 2015" compilation, the five-track "Sunord" EP quickly followed in July 2015. Building on the sound and success of that initial release, a further quartet of inspired works demonstrated Kalalb's production talent based on the simple premise that music has "no limits" and a deep-rooted passion that "underground music is my heart."

Remixing LoQuai and Ewan Rill, Artem Kalalb has created a hypnotic masterpiece that takes the central riff from "Beat Meditation", bringing it to the fore and using it as a centre point from which a collage of counterpoint melodies fire in different directions. Intelligent in execution, a shuffling open hi-hat rhythm strikes a further dynamic chord while an effortless pad washes over in a glorious backdrop to create a superb rework.

Polish duo, Deep Fog and Cream have been a production pairing since their 2014 debut for Revelation Records. Before then Chris Kotlinski in his solo Deep Fog guise, found considerable success through his work for such celebrated imprints as Stellar Fountain, OLD SQL and a swathe of releases for Mistique Music. A DJ with a long history of success in his home country, Deep Fog has found himself with a host of residencies in clubs such as Chilli and Reno through DJ performances in his native Poland. March 2013 saw the "Terminal" show hit the airwaves of Proton Radio while his debut release with Cream – also a well-respected and hard-working DJ throughout his Polish homeland – saw two original tracks feature on the "Summer Particles 2014" album.

The Deep Fog and Cream pairing have since become regular contributors to the Particles catalogues, first with the full release of "Kiki" including remixes from Anthony Yarranton and Noraj Cue and second, with August 2015's "Neverland" EP which saw an exciting blend of acoustic drums combined with clever instrumentation and organic sound. Full of chunky, staccato rhythms, the Deep Fog and Cream remix of "Beat Meditation" revolves around a central arpeggio melody that shines above rich, breathy pads. A clever reinterpretation of LoQuai and Rill's melodic flow follows, surrounded by a plethora of additional production material in a remix that is full of emotion and dynamic dance floor energy.

As Artem Kalalb and Deep Fog and Cream reveal effortless mesmerising flow, there is plenty of scope for further "Beat Meditation" as LoQuai and Ewan Rill continue to hypnotise.

The third instalment of the infamous 'Sudbeats' collection lands with 31 tracks, offering a trip into the different landscapes of underground dance music.
From deep early night beats to melodic uplifting crowd bangers, to straight rhythms for the harder floors, many of these fantastic tracks have been tested by label boss Hernan Cattaneo during the last year, and some of them are highly awaited.
The digital release will include all tracks, however, the triple CD is made of 3 discs: disc 1 mixed by Lonya, disc 2 mixed by Graziano Raffa, while disc 3 features all of the mp3s (full length versions).
And so with this being the third of the series, you can see a strong symbology and as you will see with the artwork, a triangle teas centre stage, and its a triple CD with the red, blue and green Sudbeat colors shining all over the package. Three really is the magic number here.

Following Yotto’s roof-raiser, Green continues to scorch the new year with another evocative dispatch. Please welcome young Dutch talent Mees Salome and his remarkable label debut…

‘Ya Amar’ is steeped in emotion. Its Arabic title translating to ‘my moon’ or ‘my most beautiful’, there’s serious skin-rippling movement in the sweeping strings and gradual, unhurried-yet-stately pace of the narrative. Majestic, touching and just on the right side of epic.

‘Zero’ takes nothing away from this: Stripped back and driven by a subtly bumpy, turbulent kickdrum, once again we’re eased into Mees’ dramatic narrative with pace and measure. Slowly, surely, overwhelmingly, he whisks us off to parts unknown on some perfectly tempered synths and sweeping motifs.

Dreamy-yet-dramatic with all the right mystical, techno noir touches, Joris and Edwin know a good record when they spot it. We think you’ll be hearing a lot more from Mees in the new future. Green means go…

La música siempre me dio el placer de sentirme en otro lugar justo en el momento de presionar PLAY.

Los primeros sonidos electrónicos los escuche de la mano de Jean Michel Jarre el cual sin darme cuenta me hacia viajar hasta ese infinito que solo la música puede lograr.

Eran los años '90 y mis sentidos se ponían en el escenario del House el cual luego dejo paso a la "música techno" y marco un cierto sabor por los sonidos tribales.

Mi inquietud y la de un amigo tatuaron en nuestros corazones las ganas de experimentar y salir a las pistas de casas y salones nutriendo nuestra sed de "pinchar" vinilos y seducir el baile de muchos.

Los años pasaron y sigo sintiendo aun mas que ayer la "sed" de escuchar y compartir la música que me hace feliz.
