The theme for this challenge is "Family Business" and it's all about collaboration: Make a track (at least 2 minutes long) in any style, tempo and key, but make it together with your family members: kids, spouse, grandma/grandpa, close friends, etc. The more the merrier.

Make them sing, play any instrument, clap, hit a trash bin with a hammer, you name it. They don't need to have any musical skills. It's your job to make them sound good.
Bonus points for tracks that have an Italian Mafia vibe.

family biz (MUFO littleComp edit)

Originally written circa 1995, this track was a follow-up to Midnight Love and considered a personal favourite! Featuring Rosemarie nee Smith on vocals, this track marked a slight change in direction with a more produced soundscape. Unfortunately, the track was never released before losing touch with Rosemarie. However, it has been re-arranged, re-recorded, mixed and mastered, staying true to the original mid-90's feel!
Other songs not released from that period are being recreated for release very soon, together with material from Lovers Rock and Jazz genres where much work has been spent in the intervening period.

This is my track from the February 2025 Beatmaker Bootcamp at Melodics. Entirely made with Ableton Live using stock instruments and plugins. A new experience for me as I normally work more with samples. Inspiration for the synth bass and melody came from the G Funk of Dr Dre.
