For Beatpoet, it all started in 1996 with jam-sessions in a small garage in the inner city of Berne alongside fellow local DJs Spider, Dario Benjamin & MC Manu. Many years were spent practising routine after routine, all alone in the dark and safely fed by an unlimited love for all things music, but most of all the UK underground sounds of labels like Mo’Wax, Wall of Sound, Warp and Ninja Tune. As time went on, a Yamaha SU700 sampler joined the two-decks-and-mixer-affair and the first custom beats and breaks were cut together.
In 2012 Beatpoet & MC Manu joined the local Rap-Crew "Ds Quartier" and started a new mixtape-series called "AUDIO TT“, which resulted in the rap-crew and music project „TEILER GANG.“ Beatpoet’s own productions were featured on  volumes 1, 2 & 3 of the AUDIO TT-Mixtape-Series. 
In january 2016 Beatpoet released his first solo album „Global Warn Gring“. Released digitally and as a double-vinyl-edition, the trippy and quirky album has a variety of influences ranging from Electro, Nu-Disco, Trap & Trip Hop and also features Beatpoet’s brother Roland Wyss. Beatpoet’s most recent production is the grime-influenced debut „CHrime Time“ of Berne-based rapper Mac Daddy of TEILER GANG.
