Lost In My Head

Ever battle with repeat failure? It can be a real drag. “Lost in My Head” is inspired from being in a place of particular disappointment and trying to find the courage to get back up and try again. For some it could be the pressures of relationships or the questioning of self worth. Ultimately, we need to first value ourselves before we can support a meaningful relationship. This song contemplates the internal battle of not wanting to be alone but also not becoming dependent on others. Musically, “Lost in My Head” is an upbeat Synthpop track with cross-genre influences, ear-tantalizing synthesizers, funky bass lines, and epic guitar solos. It was produced and written by Eric Baum in collaboration with David Akridge.

"One Bad Apple" is a phrase I've heard used to both condemn or exonerate someone of their actions. This led me to thinking about an individual's influence over a group, or a sound's influence over the dynamic of a song. The result? A mixture of soft ethereal pianos, harsh glitches , and noises. When does music break down and just become sound? When does noise become music? Let’s see if they can coexist.
