This new collection of 32, yes 32!!!, songs is a a loosely threaded concept album that lays bare a roiling cauldron of interpersonal longing in an increasingly detached and digitized reality as we ache for a deeper connection with the natural world that is seemingly disappearing before our eyes. The album interweaves musical styles and genres to create a new sonic space: an inventive blend of electronica, jazz and rock guided by the boldness and vision rooted in my sense of what it means to be human.
I have again tapped longtime collaborators and creative forces extraordinaire John Paul Davis and M.S. Borders to assist in producing Climbing Mountains.
