Folk meets Electronic = GLAW

Welsh pianist, guitarist and singer-songwriter SERA and Music Producer / DJ Endaf virtually came together during lockdown producing this unique blend of Welsh Language Folk / Electronic music titled ‘Glaw’

Although their musical styles are very different they curiously have a lot in common! Both are Caernarfon locals, attended the same primary school, selected as BBC Horizons artists in 2019 and earlier this year shared the same stage as they both performed at the coveted BBC Maida Vale Studios.

Endaf’s last Welsh Language release ‘Dan Dy Draed’ featuring Ifan Pritchard was named BBC Radio Cymru’s ‘Track of The Week’ with Huw Stephens calling it one of the best Welsh tracks of 2020.

Sera has a new single ‘Switch’ out on July 31’st with an album to follow in August, plus the first single with her Americana Band, Tapestri, called ‘Y Fflam’ which is ‘Track of the Week’ on BBC Radio Cymru July 20th.

Daeth pianydd, gitarydd a chanwr-gyfansoddwr SERA a Chynhyrchydd/DJ Endaf at ei gilydd ar-lein yn ystod y broses gloi i greu'r cyfuniad unigryw yma o gerddoriaeth Werin Gymraeg / Miwsig Electronig o'r enw 'Glaw.' 

Ac er bod eu harddulliau cerddorol yn wahanol iawn i'w gilydd, mae ganddyn nhw lawer yn gyffredin! Mae'r ddau yn wreiddiol yn lleol i Gaernarfon, wedi bod yn yr un ysgol gynradd, ac yn 2019 ddewiswyd fel artistiaid BBC Gorwelion. Yn gynharach eleni fe wnaethant rannu'r un llwyfan wrth berfformio yn stiwdio chwedlonol y BBC, sef Maida Vale.

Roedd trac Gymraeg diwethaf Endaf, sef 'Dan Dy Draed' (yn cynnwys Ifan Pritchard) yn 'Trac yr Wythnos' ar BBC Radio Cymru, gyda Huw Stephens yn ei alw'n un o draciau Cymraeg gorau 2020. 

Mae gan SERA sengl newydd 'Switch' allan ar Orffennaf 31, gydag albwm i ddilyn ym mis Awst, ynghyd â'r sengl gyntaf gyda'i band Americana, Tapestri, o'r enw 'Y Fflam' sy'n 'Trac yr Wythnos' ar BBC Radio Cymru o Orffennaf 20fed.

✦ It´s been 4 years I posted my last podcast. Since then I didn’t want to post any, the reason was that I wanted to come with a special one, a mix with my own music and some collaborations with my buddy Armen, all of them unreleased. 

 All this time I was working in the studio, the only thing I could do was create music due to my document issues. Not being able to travel.

   "Prelude" has an exciting meaning for me, it seems like this issue gonna be fixed very soon and I'll be finally able to visit you guys.
