It was only a matter of time, after his stunning remix for us, that Alan Marshall would be back on Prognosis with an original track.
We know he would deliver something special and this is truly a classic in the making.

Twilight Dreams is a deep prog beauty that builds with warm, rolling bass vibes and sublime percussion.  As the name would suggest this is dreamily hypnotic with a bright snare waking us up. Layers of synths are added to crescendo when those stabs hit. Oh my. 

First up on the remix we welcome Da Syk to the label. A producer with an impressive line of releases. His remix is the line where techno meets prog and this is absolutely immense. We look forward to more from Da Syk on Prognosis in the future.

Michael Vitan returns to Prognosis on remix duties and he gives us a sweet remix that is beach and poolside vibes. Retaining the edge of the original while softening it slightly. More variety to the pack.

Embarking on a cosmic odyssey with Joe Mattei's latest release, a journey that transcends the boundaries of sound and transports listeners to uncharted realms.

The four-track EP features three originals plus a stellar remix by Rafael Cerato to compliment the release perfectly.

Onus, the opening track, serves as a launchpad for this interstellar expedition with its hypnotic baseline and mesmerising synth work, establishing an immediate connection to the deep and mysterious. 

Assume follows, throwing us deeper into the cosmic abyss with a tribal like rhythm. Joe's meticulous drum groove conjures an interplay of light and shadow, evoking the feeling of drifting through the infinite expanse of space between sounds.

The release reaches its climax with Exists, almost like an an otherworldly transmission equipped with a driving bassline and infectious energy.

To complement this stellar journey, Rafael Cerato provides a remix of the title Onus that takes the track to new heights. Cerato's interpretation adds a unique dimension to the EP, infusing it with his signature style while preserving the otherworldly essence of the original.

The 90’s rave scene embodied a sense of freedom, defiance, energy, and diversity. Konvic’s track, ‘Dove Days’ celebrated that with a hard techno edge and spoken vocals by DeepDownDirty label boss and founder Maya Stone.

Fast forward seven years from the release of ‘Dove Days’ (and as DeepDownDirty fast approaches its tenth year of existence) and Konvic has put together a full album’s worth of eclectic new music to complement the original track, bringing it bang up-to-date with hiphop-edged techno in ‘Escape Key’ featuring Melee; a drum and bass duo of tracks in ‘We Need Love' & ‘Aura’, which both feature TiaSun; and 'Gaia’, with its hard neuro-influenced riff.

Amongst the techno you can also find the bouncy ‘Moroccon Nights’, with its North African-influenced vibe; an acid techno collaboration with Alf E James, ‘Rhythm is in my Mind’; the pulsating groove of ‘Dance’, the third track to feature TiaSun; the vibrant chords of ‘Keep Walking By’; the underground feel of ‘Exit Light'; and the subversive ‘Don’t Be Afraid’, a collaboration with Coqui.

This is music that celebrates the liberating, hedonistic 90’s rave scene with a futuristic edge. Its euphoric, rebellious and wild. It embodies great dance music in its all its glorious variety across the eleven tracks. As Maya says on ‘Dove Days’, “It didn’t matter who you were or what you did, we were united by the music,”.

'Dove Days’ the LP stands as a reminder and testament of how true that still is.

FelixbFelix makes a very welcome debut on KOT with this 4 track EP.
The title track, Binary Shuffle, is a lovely rolling affair, with stabs and acid sprinkled throughout. Bass Cut is a more stripped back track that builds nicely as it goes on. Flat Pack is a chunky track with a groovy bassline and clever FX. Closing the EP perfectly is Silicon, which bounces along nicely.
4 great tracks with a nice bit of variety between them!
